Yes, the one that’s flipped in mine had to be reverse wired from the rest. But if you invert all subs then you can wire normally.

I’m not recommending people clip but I’ve had a lot of time with these subs and I know what they handle. I don’t have enough power to really hurt them and I’ve set gains correctly and know it’s not going into full distortion, just soft clipping. If it doesn’t smell then I just keep sending it 👍

I want something that can play 20s and 30s Hz and be loud . I use Audio Control Epicenter sometimes and bang decaf, plus I plan to start back making music soon with bassy melodies in that range! I built a box in October of last year that is 1 15" 4.15 cu.ft tuned to 29hz 6"Dia x 17" lenght port 3/4 MDF So whatever I buy has to be optimized for the enclosure I have already Also, I have a serious Question. I have seen that some folks are running their kicker zx2500.1 at 1ohm and getting 3900-4800 rms. Is there a way I can test mines without blowing it? Damn dude. That thing was getting down for three 12's. The voltage was really good too. Rock solid at 14v and 7k. Very nice setup. Moving lots of air.

when you invert a subwoofer, you flip the polarities on just that inverted sub. So, conventionally mounted subs would be wired normally positive to positive neg to neg. But on the inverted sub, you'd hook the neg wire to the positive and the positive wire to the neg. So the sub push's into the enclosure rather then pulls.

It’s AC current so all you have to do is put the positive speaker wire to the negative on the sub and the phase will be flipped just like that

Hey could I run 2 sundown u 12’s and 2 sundown xv2 12’s together? It would be gettin the best of both worlds. They have the same power rating and are the same size so I didn’t see there being a problem. Just asking cuz I’ve never seen or heard of it being done.

You can...but I wouldn’t mix different subs together. They will have different characteristics even if they are the same power rating.

What kind of 12’s are these again?? The motors are MASSIVE!!! I’d invert 2 in a Crx. It would be loud as all hell!! Friend of mine had 2 Rockford power series 12’s back in 1995 and that car was sooo loud!! Had the subs and ports firing to the back. They were only 600 rms too. Had all the girls panties wet. Lol I had 2 kicker comps from 1995 in a 93 integra and it made the girls bras come off and they were only 200 rms hahaha with a 450rms kicker amp. Loved that system still to this day. 🥰 Then I got 2 15” solo barics hooked up to that same kicker amp so it wasn’t getting the power it needed but it was still loud as fuck!! I’d have to say those were the best subs ever made in my opinion. Fit 2 15’s in the back of a 93 integra no problem and the bass was very loud for that period of time. Would love to do 8 15” kicker solo barics (the ones from 1995 round ones) in a Tahoe being pushed by a sundown salt 6!! Holy shit!!!
