First I would like to thank Ms Sarah for clarifying the lever rule. All these years I have used tables developed through repeatative manufacturing procedures without actually understanding the lever rule.. i am very glad. Thank you. In problem 3.2.1 it seems we should have used 38% instead of 62% for our lever rule. The answer of 59.67 (about 60%) seems to agree with tin instead of lead.

My bad....the original solution does contain 75% lead which precipitates with reduction in temperature until some 15% or so is left. So thank you again...I have even learned to correct myself !!
