[3.22] Doryani's Fist Berserker

It would seem I had ANOTHER build up my sleeve. This one was a bit of a tricky and took lots of iterations to get feeling good. In the end I think the build turned out pretty good, definitely not the best build for the investment, but certainly a build that makes the most of an old item and brings it into the current balance.

Guardian maps didn't do justice to the build as it has inherently low mob density. Awesome build btw! Also idea for update, Stormfire ring and conversion to Ignite with prolifs.

Very nice guide, Imo you should find a compromise between your old super-UI heavy style and the new one. I am sure that you could add very little UI and graphics effect for very few time expanse. Your graphics and UI effects were 10 out 10 before, but getting to 10/10 takes 10 times longer than going for 8/10, which is already good enough for PoE players. Think about that! Thank you for coming back, you have been a great source of inspiration to start my own youtube!

Was thinking if it is possible to integrate this build into str stacker, because of 600% efficiency of added damage I think you will have quite juicy hits and problem with attack speed can be solved through 1 jugg ascendancy

I made my dum dum build twice before chieftain got slapped, a marohi with endurance charge stacking and stun/aoe, you would hit the ground with a delicious .4 attacks a second and like an opera singer blow the whole room away. Or die before the swing landed... it was glorious in it's stupidity and if it didn't die, it was stunned for upwards of 10 seconds.

Question, is taking Precise Technique even still worth it with Rite of Ruin? Are you dipping below 25 rage often enough to lose the stun immunity from Rite?

I'm playing a different slam build right now, and yes I do drop below 25 rage often. Sometimes it just works out that after I pop my 3 warcries I'm under that threshold, though I am not a berserker, just a chieftain stealing the warcry node.

I presume you mean Unwavering Stance, and yes it is very much worth getting. Watching the video, you can see my rage drop below 25 all the time between warcries sacrifices and berserk and getting stunned in a slower attacking build like this is basically death.

"Current POE is just not made for slow tanky builds" - Couln't agree more. I've tried making a Brainratler - Doryanni's prototype Earthquake Slayer, thinking I could've made powerfull slow attacks while having negative 100% light res, but no sir I didn't work... The character felt great during campaign, which was an enormous bait, but in maps and endgame it all went to shit. No dmg, dying alot. Campaign and maps/endgame are two completely worlds in PoE. A build being able to kill stuff, survive large packs, maybe some essence monsters with dumb modifiers, is no basis what so ever to determine is it will do well in maps and bosses.... The current pace of the game DEMANDS you play fast all of the time. Slow builds have no place in this current iteration.

@@TorsteinTheFallen People have tanked endgame boss slams. The things that you're not even supposed to tank cos they have big signposts letting you know they're coming (for instance, Sirus meteor). On the flipside you also have tank items like Bloodnotch and Defiance of Destiny that make you literally unkillable by any amount of smaller hits. So yeah, you can tank.

Why not use a swap Redblade Banner before tough bosses ? It'd give you infinite warcry power, and your first warcry would get your rage to 60 so the next ones always sacrifice rage for that extra 50% damage, and using it just right, you could even recharge your rage again for berserk or the inherent 3% attack damage, attack speed and movement speed per rage (up to 180% increased damage, 90% aspd and 36% move speed)

In general, with 14 base power + 20 power from unique bosses, I get 60 Rage from a single warcry with my current setup. There is basically no way I would want to add another swap/buff I would have to manage.

This represents well what I dislike most about most ARPGs, they all end up the same, fast mov speeds, fast attack/cast speeds, I really enjoy trying slow hard hitting builds but they always feel inferior to just high spammy builds, and when they work it takes ages to get to that point Really hope PoE2 manages to create a good balance between slow and fast paced gameplay

"wh" in Maori language (the language used for a lot of naming in POE) is pronounced like an F , so Tawhoa sounds like Ta-Fo-Ah :)

"POE isn't made for slow tanky builds" Isn't that the truth... Tried having fun with Brutus's Lead Sprinkler + Ambush + Marylene's Fallacy for super fun one tap build. It's either kill or be killed. Tried a Hollow Palm build. Having to use Purity of Elements and can't get enough defense... Tried Rage Vortex, great fun until you get a Cycling Damage Reduction mob and the vortex just travels past them without doing anything... Also no good for the current League since the base mobs are so dang tanky, count as White Mobs, so the vortex just passes through them without stopping... Melee in general just feels like crap this league; going for a one hit wonder Discharge build now.
