This is a very helpful video, its good to hear that there is progress coming. I really enjoy salvaging but lost access to salvage missions during the 3.24 update. Still hoping to get back access to salvaging

Thanks the key binds are always a good thing to show as they are a nightmare to find and work out . some of the problems is that isn't a description to what it is I know most are common sense, but the odd one is like " is this the key I am looking for or not " on the positive side this frees up an Hat on my left stick now lol

@@Tainted-Soul I use the same hat! I’m going to actually try to still use it, but I didn’t mention that in this vid. I’m going to set max power with hold then use press to lower that component. I may switch up and make it tap for increasing and double tap for lowering, but I haven’t tried double tap with the hat yet

I never understood why they dropped the LOD range so sharply on panels. You used to be able to see them from much, much farther away. If it was an issue of people making too much money then just decrease the frequency of spawn? If it was an issue of there being no LOD's of the model and the full part was rendering at range, just bake the texture and decimate the mesh...

Fantastic video as always. Interesting that the salvage heads work in NAV mode. Part of me thinks this is a bug. Part of me hopes this is a sign that the SRV will be able to tow in QT again.

I'm not able to salvage my own ships anymore with Reclaimer.. do you know if they changed that ? Usually i do that for money, cause salvage missions are totally worthless.

@@tonyalkmin oh, that would be a very recent change if that’s true. I’ve done that this patch so far, just once I think but it is possible. I’d have to try and test that again but tbh the servers aren’t really staying up long enough to really test it

I come back this new patch and tried my solo reclaimer salvage missions, after a full night work I want to sale CM. and I find I just loose 100K! they just nerf it to the ground, those Greedy suckers! I paid huge real money to buy a reclaimer, they just want to force me to buy something new!

I am making a HUGE EDUCATED guess here which i may get confrimed if i can talk to the team involved but prices are going to be subject to market value when crafting comes in and if i can talk to the right person i wanna see if i can get involvement in Refinary gameplay as a mixologisty systyem where ore composits and qualitys can be dependant on players ability to refine multiple materials and chemicals to make quality based resorces which during crafting will changhe that crafted items qualityh in to modifyed (unique item stats + serial number) Now if they go down this path Mastermode salt farming will be a bit irrelevant after crafting RNG takes over. and with salvaged loot also being a factor meaning players can take eachothers parts etc it becomes a game of "who can defend their stash of gibs" everything for UEC is just to alpha test how logistics works not the economy thats totally gonna have to be Near perfect from day one and slowly built on over every year

yeah, there is definitely some fluctuation, 5% is probably in that margin. I'm starting to really grow on the idea of sending salvage materials (def CM, not sure on RMC) to a refinery to refine it back to metals. Essentially like a barrel of oil, but in this case refining it back to the metals it was before it was fractured and salvaged. But, I want to see Miners and Salvagers getting paid after the job is complete, through remote payment. Or, they can decide to hold it for pickup, otherwise let haulers get it for hauling.

No, the best way to make money is unverified hammerheads. 1.4M scrape.. 2.1M fool scrape and fracture. Because you have to do it under an hour. Something that wasn't mentioned is. The more heavy the armor is, the more rcm you get per second. So panels are never the best anymore. They're just safer and easier.

@@stationbobofficial i think the best is probably insurance fraud with your own ships, but it depends on what you have access to. I’m hopeful we can get some ships scattered across the verse once meshing gets better.

how do you get the signal percentage? mine has no figures jsut the progress bar? is there a control key bind or something?

@@shanefrance2158 when you goto scan mode? Mine come up once I’m in scan mode then you get the signal only when you’re front is aligned with a target. It’s essentially the percentage from a target.

@@shanefrance2158 it appears to just be how close u are to the object. So for panels, they generally appear around 95% typically but with the new patch it maybe about 90% for some panels.
