[3.24] Essence Scarab of Calcification - 50+ Deafening Essences Per Map

In this video, I showcase an essence atlas strategy that uses the Essence Scarab of Calcification to convert rares into essences. To maximize the amount of rares that spawn originally in the map, I use 8 mod maps with "increased rare monsters" as an explicit mod. Additionally, I use Scarab of Adversaries x2 for more rares.

With the increased prices of Essence scarabs, I try to squeeze out maximum juice by running T16 8-mod increased rare monster maps. The result is a good amount of essences. Beware, you need a character with lots of DPS for smooth experience. 20+ million roughly.

@@corvo_corax from what i heard, it won't work as Calcification specifically mentions Natural Inhabitants. People were pre-speculating with Einhar's 5 Red Beast Scarab since that's 5 Rares + Beasts at the same time and from what I heard, they don't work since Beasts aren't Natural Inhabitants. While Mirrored 4 works because it's Mirroring Natural Inhabitants.

I play standard to test stuff for first week or so. Then bugs and buffs come to league and I play if good.

you dont actually need that good of a character since essence dont scale with map tier u can do this in low tiers aswell without effect essence drops. Not white maps though has to be yellow at the least

If you run it on T16, you get stronger map rolls, thus high pack size, thus more rares. So for THIS strat, yes you do.

@Path_of_Chigurh When you think about it though, it kinda makes sense because the essences are added to the boss that already exists in the map. Mavens bosses aren't in the map to receive the essence buffs.

I know this is old BUT check the wiki, if you use remnant on purple essences that start with M.E.D or S then there is a chance that one of the 4 rare essences will drop

How much harder does Crystal resonance make the boss of the map?

@@Path_of_Chigurh I heard that running Crystal Resonance on Volcano map seems to be easy as the boss is a summoner totem, meaning it doesn't directly attack you. It takes longer to kill, but it will not one-shot you. Though I haven't tested it yet as I am currently farming blight.

Back to Basics scarab farming. I have video on my channel. You don't have to do 8 mod maps. Just T16 and go. And don't take Thorough Exploration because that makes the boss hard.
