[3.24] Headless Spark & Vaal Spark - Build Guide - T17 Map Farmer

In this video, I discuss both the legacy and non-legacy versions of a Spark character I have been playing for several weeks and have farmed many mirrors on running T17 maps. The only map mods I can't run are Reduced Flask Charges and Less Defences as I run these T17 maps with Back to Basic.
This is an expensive build as I would suggest having an Original Sin + 1 mirror to start, but once you have things going, you should be able to make 40 divine per hour in T17 maps.
The reason I am CI for my legacy build is because legacy chests can have 1k+ ES, which carries our defenses. Also, since we run Widowhail on non legacy version and quivers can't roll ES, the quiver gives 300 life, which carries the non legacy defenses.

I had never played a Spark build prior to a few weeks ago and wanted to play what many players would consider to be one of the pinnacle builds in POE history before POE 2 releases. While many people have chosen to make aura stack sparkers or poison sparkers, this version is pretty solid too.

I got this build going and I love it, for people wondering it feels great with headhunter too. So for anybody struggling in T17 maps slap on a hh, spec into some flask duration and flask gain nodes and put on “when flask reaches full” and you will be flying

is there any map mods even you arent able to do at this moment? im trying to make my build able to do them all, but it seems like theres some that are just straight bricks. doign a storm brand char inquis so helm = dps i find the following mods are rerolls. - max res - no dmg 4 out of 10 seconds -no leech, (this disables RF which is the only way im breaking barrels after your last comment) -no regen same as above - reduced effect of auras. this i feel like completely bricks almost anything i can come up with. - union of souls (not a brick as so but it makes the map take 2-4x longer due to sheer tankyness) - less recovery rate. kinda the same as no regen once ur doing any b2b stuff and the worst of them all. Reduced aciton speed each time u use a skill. how do you deal with these modefiers? maybe theres some solutions i havent thought about I know I am asking a lot here, so i fully understand if it is too much of your time to delve into it ^^

This is honestly very tempting to look at and makes me contemplate on dissolving my std TS MF- and i never sell any builds. Just one thing i want to toss your way- if you give up on one of the medium clusters, you could get 25% chance to poison on hit and thus use crit immunity via poison mastery. Hit frequenzy is more than enough to stick with 25% poison chance, i just can't judge how much of an impact the loss of one medium would have on proj speed and pierce count. E: I also wanted to mention that there is room to go for a Vaal Regalia with legacy global defense instead of legacy ES rolls. Rolling double T1 ES on that will leave you with a higher ES total, plus, the global defense mod scales also your evasion. This would open up the possibility to use a non legacy jade flask with %inc effect and t1 crit roll for a decent damage uplift at the expense of dropping your evade chance to 89% instead of 95%.

Spark archmage inst stacker is extremely competent at T17's as well, I'm playing it in league right now, most stuff dies instantly offscreen. The average hit is about 4x higher with this investment compared to this non legacy version. 42K effective hit with purely offensive gear, 175k elemental max hit due to three max res flasks and mageblood. This is without an adorned, adorned pushes it to another extreme.

As I say in video, having a high max hit doesn't matter. I have a link to a spark archmage build in description. Running 250%+ movement speed and being immune to T17 mods is more important.

@@Path_of_Chigurh Agreed, damage and speed is what matters, wintry blast on a 0.19 cast speed gets me through the maps, damage is 76 mil with the same config as yours and it functions in other content, I get that it's not a budget build, but the original sin doesn't do it for me when an int stack version is a lot better, for less. The archmage you linked is kinda ass, int stack archmage is quite a bit better in every way.

Ended up biting the bullet for Widowhail to see if the doubled proj speed is worth the damage cut, that turned out to cut my clear speed in half since shooting at one pack kills the other next screen, and more proj are hitting bosses in arenas. Thanks for the video ! Also, a shaper ring can have life/mana on hit with spells, that way you can cut a watcher's affix for a ring affix
