I used to have a lot of problems with bearings until i switched from VP 9% oil to VP 14% oil now the bearings Stay buttery smooth.

To much oil can also be harder on the engine. I know that sounds crazy but it's true. Usually what I do is go with 8% oil add 2% by volume blendzall castor oil for additional film strength and that seems to be perfect

Ohhh …. she done ! 😅 - Maybe he would like to put an OS in it this time around? Keep us updated and thanks for the vid Bug 🩷

I'm actually donating an engine block and crank for him he's buying a new rod pin and I set a bearings and fresh plug and I'm going to make one good engine out of two

Contact Ray A racing on Facebook and have it pinched for 30$ and replace the bearings will be good as well new. 😉

I haven't broke in my 3.3 yet, i did buy a new clutch bell set up for it and it came with that fly wheel, should i get one with out that magnet??
@thebug40464 ай бұрын
The one without is better but if you can't find it just run the one you got and keep an eye on the magnet
@tonydetwiler26244 ай бұрын
i have a 3.3 that sort of has an issue like this the crankshaft moves back and forth. It doesn’t jiggle like you showed but it moves back and forth in the case

Hey i just put a big block .21 exhaust on a trx 3.3 and it seems to rip Idle is high But she rips Got a .19 to replace the 3.3 with But wanted to experiment a bit b4 pulling the 3.3 Whats your thoughts on big block exhaust on 3.3 By the way its in a traxxas slash
@thebug40464 ай бұрын
Wrong pipe volume and very little back pressure will make it run lean and it will lose the return pulse that's the reason why
@mikehollingsworth38144 ай бұрын
Damn bug tearing down my 3.3 to put in fresh bearings and wrist pin seems daunting and a little like a big job. But I guess it's time to do it tho.
@thebug40464 ай бұрын
It's really easy
@mikehollingsworth38144 ай бұрын
You definitely make it look easy !! I'm nervous that more than the bearings and wrist pin will need replaced lol. But I've taken care of the engine and like I said in another video I've only ran a gallon and half through it.
@thebug40464 ай бұрын
@@mikehollingsworth3814 It should be fine for a while but like I said one thing you can do is practice on an old engine taken apart and put it back together as many times as you feel necessary once you've learned one you've pretty much learned it all
@zackjay714 ай бұрын
So you think that telemetry sensor falling off threw it out of balance.
@thebug40464 ай бұрын
It will put the flywheel out of balance witch will shake the hell out of the crank so yeah I think it had a lot to do with it.
@zackjay714 ай бұрын
@@thebug4046 I agree. Even that flywheel with good bearing would probably make it surge and shake and wobble like a mofo.
@thebug40464 ай бұрын
@@zackjay71 that's true. I try to find the old style flywheel that doesn't have all that nonsense. It's really hard to tell how accurately balanced they are

Enjoyed the video 👍
@lowellfunk89744 ай бұрын
Gets that way usually from running with a cracked or broken air filter tube. Or something else like you mentioned the flywheel being severely out of balance causing it to suck air and dirt and overheating lean condition. Basically, one thing leads to the next until it is fubar! 😂😢
@thebug40464 ай бұрын
Air filter was not the problem on this engine the Wait in the flywheel missing through the crank in a balance which caused it to vibrate and destroy the bearings
