Harold's always been an only child, right? Or so he thought until Albert's long lost Australian son turns up out of the blue...

I think its interesting because, even though Harold is supposed to be the more gullible and easily conned of the two, how Albert himself can be quite taken in by people sometimes. It shows really good writing and character development as the weaknesses and partiality of the one is off set (and often played upon) by the other. That's the reason why, despite looking and being so different, you can quite believe Albert and Harold are related. That, and all the nuances and well observed traits which Harry H Corbett and Wilfred Brambell bring to the roles. Wonderful and thanks for the upload :)

That is a real area-in 1992 I found the very block the final scene was filmed at-Ladbroke Grove/a very poor part of north Kensington to the best of my recollection

I love how Harold is both a bin man and very eloquent. An interesting juxtaposition 😎

Albert: "Oh Harold, you can't go now,.....it's time to go out on the round." Harold: "I have completed my last round for this firm!" Albert: "Well, who's gonna do it then?!" Harold: "May I suggest, that you tippy-toe into the 'ouse and turf Wallaby Jim of the islands outta bed?!" Albert: "He ain't gonna drive that horse! You know she won't go out with anyone but you? No one else can handle her." Harold: "Well, I suggest he sells some of his nickle shares & buys himself a Kangaroo!" HAHAHA

The digs were Notting Hill,Westborne Park borders...these parts of London were slums pre Hugh Grant days, dont mix Notting Hill up with Notting hill gate which is really Kensington.
