I had a convo wit a couple of Bullet's sisters years ago at the VFW. They said Bullet came up wit the name SANTANA from the album cover that was blacc and white.... which inspired blacc rag for the hood. It was said that that was around '76 when they still lived in the apts on Santa Fe still... because they lived on Crane Ave, near Myrrh Ave and Long Beach Blvd., when Bullet died. And by then, both sides of the hood joined after his death, as Sag stated.

Actually, I interviewed the founders Twin(Ken Tate), his mom and sister was there too, I know Turtles brother Whiskey real good, Melly introduced me and S to their sister, I interviewed Baby Gangsta, we corresponded extensively when he was locked up, Melly and I corresponded extensively while he was locked up and since he’s been home, Joe Rocchead and I talk all the time, i been talking to Sag and his brother for over 10 years and I wrote a article on Santana Blocc in 2012 in Allhood Publications. Nothing new under the sun Sag schooled me on his life story a decade ago this is just for you guys. 😀👊🏽
