I got it! What I did was after digging in my computers files I found version 3.0.7 of Unreal Unlocker. (Still might work with newer versions) I changed its compatibility settings to XP SP3 and ran it as administrator. Then I ran a June 23, 2020 release of BFBBR (again still might work with newer versions) as administrator as well as with Vista compatibility settings and injected the DLL just after exiting SpongeBob's house and "Viola!" console privileges.

I think the first time you talk to him he informs you about the spatula on the pillar and that you need to do a big jump to reach it, after you do he says something like "See? You can do anything if you just believe in yourself / try hard enough(?)". This is from memory, also I haven't played with English audio. You may want to check an English Let's Play.

It's player 1 that can use a keyboard and mouse if they want, player 2 always needs a controller. It's the same as in the actual multiplayer horde mode.

I didn't make an elaborate tutorial, but I provided everything you need to know in the info boxes before the video starts at 1:37. If there's anything you need help with setting it up you can reply to me here and I'll help you to the best of my ability. The most important thing to note is that, apparently, they broke this "workaround" with the latest patches of the game. So you probably HAVE to downgrade to version 1.0 - be sure you are willing to go through the methods of downgrading. Additionally, the tank controls for player 2 are a little annoying. The game is playable with them, but it is unquestionably nowhere near as good as the controls player 1 gets.

@@Thornskade I have two controllers and tested it out solo just to see if it worked and I didn't need the tank controls. I could just use normal controls or just use player 2's right stick for turning. Does feel a bit weird but it worked. I'm aware I made a comment ages ago but I remember trying it out and my game was fully updated

@@YaBoiJoosh You don't need the tank controls of course, the only reason I made them was because I considered the stick turning to be impossible to wrap my head around. It's an input configuration that I created to make it playable.

@@Thornskade I suppose that's fair. Would honestly love to see someone make an online mod for story co-op. I'd love to see one that works and gets worked on. I feel like it would just make the game better and would also mean we wouldn't have to use console commands all the time

@@YaBoiJoosh It's disappointing the developers didn't think of that. They put energy into making a boring horde mode that nobody plays when instead they could have made a campaign co-op. It obviously works quite well as is so that's extra disappointing. There could have been a piggback system in case a character can't progress and the players don't want to go back to a bus stop.

I believe the dev console with UUU has been patched. anyway you can help me get it working on my copy of BFBBR? When i inject the DLL it says console is not available and pressing the tlide key does nothing. Maybe just uploading the exe with a working debug menu would do the trick?

@@youngquarter8834 GOG is great since you can download the older versions without any hassle. Just log into the website, then go to www.gog.com/account, click on SpongeBob and check the drop-down menu that says something like "download offline installers for this game". Try any of the former patches. I can try if it works with the latest version later but that probably won't do much. If it works then I won't know why it doesn't work on your end, and if it doesn't work then I'm as clueless as you are.

I'm currently doing all of this solo with an Xbox 360 controller and a PS4 controller. I have two SpongeBobs in the bedroom and I can't use bubble bash on either of them. I also can't seem to press the buttons in the library (I tried ground pounding and attacking and they wouldn't work. Any way to fix this?

Does everything work normally in single player? I don't know what bubble bash is (I played this in German, that name doesn't sound familiar), but if special attacks don't work I would assume it has something to do with the latest version, maybe they changed some code related to this. I did all of this with version 1.0 of the game which also allows character switching on player one.

Idk if you still need it but bubble bash is the move when spongebob gets a bubble helmet and goes straight up. You press X for it on the switch version.

Hm yeah, ok. That was a long time ago, but if anyone else has this issue then I'm sorry that I can't help you. Those attacks worked fine on my end and I don't know what the issue might be. Perhaps the button was mapped to something else in the Steam Input settings but I don't know how that could happen by accident

@@pixelfuzztv1371 Yeah, it wasn't designed as a co-op game so with one camera there is no "out of frame" protection for the other player. The players can be on opposite ends of each map. It's a good thing that splitscreen can be enabled

Not sure what you're asking, but yes, this is on PC, and this is multiplayer streaming using Parsec. This is not an online co-op mod.

You'll find plenty of videos elsewhere on how to use Parsec and possible Unreal Engine 4 Unlocker, but all you need to do is go into a save file (or make a new one up to you) and pretty much there's a command you have to input where you go to the multiplayer maps and it spawns in two SpongeBobs and then a few seconds after you type in another command and have to type in the map for where you want to go, I believe. For example, if you want to go to the second part of Jellyfish Fields, you would just type in "open JellyfishFields_02_P there are other codes for the other maps in the video and each time you want to go to a new area you will have to type in the command and the specific map you want to go to

Actually they're using UUU, which is a developer console used for inputting commands, which allows you to do a few things in-game, can also allow you to play with an extra player if you do it right
