I agree with you that this is a great feature, but though you might think it will go into "sleep mode", in this case it just doesnt happen... maybe the results will be different with certain devices because there are many manufacturers for this thing. Hi dear londeron, I think if the computer doesn't offer a Bluetooth connection it would be best to get a Bluetooth USB dongle and then it will offer Bluetooth for any purpose, including streaming audio to Bluetooth headset. Hi dear alecsdinu! This is a very good question. In my specific case it turned off after several minuets if there wasn't a signal to save battery life, even if it was plugged to the car's cigarette charger. As for the car ignition - I am not sure if there's a big difference compared to the car's cigarette charger, but maybe this can work... Also there is a slight variation between many devices sold out there (they look the same but operate a bit differently because of the internal chip) so maybe with some it can work while with others not. For example - When the device operates and is charge at the same time - with some devices there is a background noise while with other's there isn't. To summarize - if someone does have a decisive answer to your question (or you tried it yourself), please let me know so I can add this information to the description of the video and others will be able to learn from your wisdom. I really don't know what happened, but at the end it discharge and when I charged again it worked, somehow it got in a loop and didn't do anything, it would be nice if it had a soft reset button or something like that.

A: Yes, the device can operate while charging, but keep in mind that since this receiver is a generic product that is manufactured by different manufacturers, there’s a chance that it won’t work. It doesn’t necessarily mean that your device is damaged. What it doesn’t mean is that the specific model that you own doesn’t allow you to do that. I had one of these bt218’s before and once paired for the 1st time all you had to do was select the Bluetooth device on your phone the next times without having to hit the pairing button on the device every time. Hey dear Arun Sukumar! If those speakers (by BOSE or any other brand) have a 3.5 mm input (aka - "Aux input" / "line in inpute" / "headphones input") then the answer is YES. Usually the wired speakers are connected to a receiver (stereo system receiver...) that has this input, so this receiver (Bluetooth wireless receiver...) plugs into it, and then this is possible. I'll definetly use this receiver to replace the shitty broken motherboard of my motorcycle intercom (herobiker 1200m) and solder my microphone and remove the one already included. I think i'll also throw the battery or add them in parallel to have more battery life if they fit.

Regarding the mono issue - in Bluetooth there's a standard called "A2DP" which stands for "Advanced Audio Distribution Profile". This is the Bluetooth Stereo profile which defines how high quality stereo audio can be streamed from one device to another over a Bluetooth connection - for example, music streamed from a mobile phone to wireless headphones". If the device doesn't support it, which might occur since this is a generic receiver manufactured by different sellers, you might encounter mono audio quality. I advise to test the receiver with several more devices to see if their output is in mono as well, before jumping to conclusion, since I enjoyed stereo sound using this receiver. Let me know you did check it with other devices, and what was the result of that.
