I had a really cool thing happen to me yesterday. At the fall swap meet at Mt. Petit Jean park in Arkansas. I got to see one of Jungle Jim's funny cars. It has been completely restored with the original body on the original frame. Sadly Jungle Pam was nowhere to be found. I haven't seen you explain the use of the lever on your left side, presume to be the fuel pump/pumps, and why is the need to switch between the two?

From what I can remember from Clay's video explaining how he drives it (its a few years old I think but good vid) it's fuel flow. He has set flow rates for burnouts, staging and racing. He moves the lever til he gets the number on the dash then for the run is pushed forward for full flow.

The string is wrapped so it unscrews the fuel line when pulled
