It's sad to see that our own native Sri Lankans don't have the economic peace of mind to enjoy the paradise that nature affords us while foreigners live Sri Lanka to the fullest! We arn't bitter though, we are a hospitable people and we take great pride in living vicariously through people likee you! Enjoy the fruits of our land Johnny and once you get back to your native land do carry the message of hospitality that Sri Lanka affords! We drove there on scooter, brought our own food, and only spent 500LKR to stay in the hut. Sri Lankans can also easily afford this. 😀

@@JohnnyFD the average Sri Lankan makes 150 to 200$ a month. That's easily more than 50 percent of the population. And with that he has to support a wife, two kids and a household. What you tourists experience isn't the real Sri Lanka. Its a part of Sri Lanka that about 10 percent of the populace get to enjoy. If you are still here when things get back to normal I suggest you head to Pettah, Dambulla, Kataragama, Jaffna and Moneragala to see how most of the populace lives. I'm grateful that I was born into a wealthy family, but I'm very attune to what the overwhelming majority of my countrymen go through on a daily basis. In any case, we are very glad to have you here. The dollars you bring in help our country immensly! So please spend as much as possible when you are here! And try and donate to organizations such as the Foundation for goodness and the Sri Lanka red cross. It may just be 50 dollars to a tourist, but that can feed an adult here for a month. Thanks for coming Johnny, very happy to have you in Sri Lanka! May your days here be full of happiness.

Johnny FD, Be careful with dogs when you touching them because most of the dogs are not vaccinated. If you have bitten by a dog, immediately go to a nearest hospital and get the anti-rabies treatment.
