Our visit to Athassel Abbey, the Rock of Cashel, and Hore Abbey. We barely scratched the surface on the history of these places, they're all fantastic!

Another site worth a visit in the town of Cashel is St.Dominic's Abbey. There was also a Franciscan Abbey on the site where the present Catholic Church stands. Hore Abbey is quite a pleasant surprise when first you visit it. The scale of Athassel is quite breathtaking for sure. It's easy to close your eyes and imagine being back there listening to the chants of the monks. I actually thought they should set up a sound system in Hore Abbey for that purpose. It would be enchanting for visitors.
