I am super OCD when i am home alone. I always check every doors and windows to see if they are locked. I even lock the screen door at the entrances in addition to locking the normal door and when I am sleep at night, I lock my bedroom door for extra peace of mind.

That 9-year-old boy was so smart! Most kids would have fallen for it (for understandable reasons because they're so young). But he was smart enough to realize that wasn't his mom because she would never talk like that, refused to pick up the phone/go outside, and quickly called 911 the second he knew they were trying to break in.

For a so called eagle scout (who are tought to be logical and calm is survival scenarios). That was a dumb call tbh. You know animals don't hum. What else do you need to be able to realize that you are in a bad situation and sleeping is going to be impossible... Furthermore. If they kept hearing it why didnt they go to sleep in the same tent. Cody then says let's go to sleep and take turns being night watch... Cody fails at this also by falling asleep... 🤦🏻‍♂️. Failure after failure from an "eagle scout". 😂

I think the issue was that it was the middle of the night. Packing up a campsite and then walking back to civilization in the pitch dark would be a tall order for a lot of people.

That last story reminded me about how I was home alone. By the time I was like 9 or 10 is when my mom would sometimes let me stay home alone. I never thought of stuff like home invasions or anything like that. But when I was 14, by this point we moved from an apartment to a house in a not so great neighborhood. The only thing that was remotely close to an “invasion”, was someone jumping our backyard gate and..stealing our lawnmower 😂. But I think they didn’t even think of coming inside once the heard our dog barking, she’d always bark at any little sound she heard. And it’s funny because, she was a big baby.

I’m scared of being alone and scared of the dark, i’m currently alone in my room and it’s really dark and i have anxiety and intense paranoia. I have a history of hallucinations and when i used to look upstairs i would see a weird horse creature moving around. I’m much better now and i only ever get paranoid.
