I made the ones with breadcrumbs. Absolutely gorgeous. Mixed some chutney into mayo for salad dressing, although it is delicious by itself. Thank you for this recipe x x

Hi Bumbi 👋Those tofu appetizers look great. Cute little sandwich canapes, but without the bread. I want to make all of them. The tofu press is amazing. I never saw one before. I need to get one. Hope you have a wonderful weekend my friend 💕

Yes, do get one. After decades of pressing with paper towels, and then feeling guilty about throwing away the paper (I used to hang the sheets up and use them when dry, to line kitchen compost bin!), I finally bought a TOFUTURE online. There’s lots of different makes and I worried about spending lots of money on a gimmick, but I love it! It’s so useful, small and neat, washes in a flash and is always ready to use when I get my tofu out of the packet. You won’t regret buying one. Good luck! ❤

Hi Bumbi , thanks for the vegetarian option…Also can we dip them in corn starch slurry instead of besan? Have a wonderful weekend 🌺
@CurriesWithBumbi3 ай бұрын
Yes you can. Sometimes I make a very thin cornstarch slurry and roll on breadcrumbs. Sometimes I take a combination of maida+cornstarch+baking powder. I like it with besan the most as besan has so much flavor.
@veenakhetawat45493 ай бұрын
@@CurriesWithBumbi Yes definitely besan is more tasty

Omg I remember buying tofu for the first time and hating it 😭 broke my heart because I was so excited to try it after the huge hype online. The recipe I followed made tofu into a curry and I was under the assumption I’d enjoy it because I love any sorts of curry! But I’m not giving up on tofu, I’m definitely trying this method 🤞🏽 hoping I’ll enjoy tofu this time!!

I love tofu and I love my tofu press! I use it all the time. I used to freeze the block of tofu, defrost it, and then squeeze as much liquid out as I could. But I don’t need to do any of that now. Also, I’m a lazy cook and am always looking for shortcuts while keeping the nutritional value. I’ve found that cashew butter is a good substitute for soaking and grinding cashews. So far it’s worked really well for lazy me.

Hi Bumbi! So happy that you shared these tofu recipes! I have not rinsed my tofu before using, but I’m going to start! Thank you for the helpful hint. Your tofu press is fancier than mine. 😊 I’m glad that you like using it. Enjoy your weekend my friend! Edited: I’m going the try the 3rd tofu recipe first. Do you think I would have favorable results using an air-fryer?
