I randomly hc that the player is a human/witch/wizard, that also might be really powerful. And Gingerbrave and his gang just happens to be friends with without knowing how they could beat the absolute shi out of Earthbread. And every other cookie is just AWARE of it. This could explain why even though the Beasts hate it, they do it.
