Very good video. Beautiful apartments, great assortment of options you’ve chosen to share with us. However, I’m noticing you have a very focused interest in provenza, Manila, and poblado as a whole. Can you please make another video just like this but with apartments in and around Laureles? It’s the second (and to many other people their first) location of interest but it’s pretty absent on your channel and your real estate channel. Thanks Andrew, I and I’m sure many others appreciate you and what you get up and do for us all every day to curate this valuable information.

@@space_btwn_notes I understand that- some people shop while adhering to a quality threshold and the price is flexible to be whatever it has to be to meet the quality threshold. Some people shop with a pricing threshold and in turn quality is flexible to meet the threshold of price or budget. Laureles, Belen, and beyond have a larger pool of options for the second example of buyer type- where price is the focus, not quality aka “new buildings” and such as u mentioned that would be more of a focus for the first type of buyer with a larger budget to meet quality requirements.

Love the 3bed/3bath for $292k. We will be looking to live in it 6 months out of the year but my brother-in-law and mother-in-law will live in it year round. I like the older buildings better than the new ones. We will be in Itagui in May 2025 and I will reach out to you once we are there.

As someone who has had severe career failure up until this year, buying a descent house at my age in the USA is not gonna happen. I am fortunate enough that I will hopefully be obtaining my dual citizenship next year since my mom is a citizen along with all my family on my mom's side. With this in mind, I'm hoping to at least be able to get an apartment or house in Colombia in a year or two once my career trajectory gets further along. What would be some good locations in Colombia to consider?

Surrounding approaches and entrances are so important. I am buying not only apartments also buying the surroundings out there. These are US prices in many states. Columbia was a bargain 20 years ago when a few of my friends bought. It’s like DR, where you could have bought for $30K in 2004 which was much cheaper than the US, now it’s like $300K which is what it costs in places like South Carolina. I glad I bought 20 years ago in the US and have been doing quite well.

El poblado isn’t for the broke, never has been. You can still find apartments for less than $50k around the city though.

It depends. If I were you, I'd focus on getting an online job for a company in Europe, then move down here. Don't come looking for work here.

You’re have to qualify for a loan In Colombia. Just like in the US you’re have to build up credit for a few years. They use a point system like the FICO score here. You can also look into blueprint projects.
