In the first 12 minutes you made me crack up at least 10 times 😂 I love the way you lay it down to some of the comments and questions

I'm sure someone already commented but just in case......Verbose: using or expressed in more words than are needed. I feel you are very concise and are good at explaining situations specifically and compendious. :)

does mistake #3 change with ICM complications? do you always play the A7s if you’re close to the bubble?
@PokerCoaching4 жыл бұрын
Everything changes with ICM implications. That said, A-7s is GREAT!

Do these tips apply to micro stakes as well or are they vastly different in player type?
@benconlon8754 жыл бұрын
the players in small stakes and micro stakes aren’t very different, and these errors definitely apply to both
@PokerCoaching4 жыл бұрын
They certainly apply!
@AnomanderRevan4 жыл бұрын
Thank you both. I'm never quite sure whether these small stakes tips will apply to the type of players I will see.
@benconlon8754 жыл бұрын
@@AnomanderRevan you can’t use these tips 100% of the time, the key is to try and spot ur opponents tendencies, eg if they are a weak straightforward player

Awesome content. I’ve spent tons of hours on PCP and I learned a couple tips that I didn’t know from this free video as well. Do Iisten to too much poker content while I’m at work, doing laundry, in the shower? Yes. Worth it though.

If I studied this much in high school I'd be all American student. I just drain out what I can understand go do a little playing get some experience and look back at the mistakes that I've made play 15 hours over the weekend cost me six hundred be going back soon just hitting the books if my books ever get here.
@StormCentral19984 жыл бұрын
I've done that all in thing with success alot. Most of the time they will fold. Another time they called and had a worse hand then me thinking I was bluffing the nuts. I didn't have nuts but had a better pocket pair

😂.In mistake 1 we are lerning how to take advantage of the way I just lernt how to play in your fundamentals course.Wich is great becuase now we are learning to play fundamental sound and exploit.I se a opertunity in if you ketch someone exploiting In lesson 1 then we can exploit back and cheek our premium hands getting them to think we have a marginal hand.Maybe bet half pot or smaller on the river giving them rope to hang themselves and go all in 😅😊.

idk about that first play. Im in that spot too much and usually realize i dont need to battle everytime. I get aggressive and for no reason bet and they 95% of the time call and ill simply lose to a king or queens. I dont think a small stakes player not betting the flop eliminates a nut hand. if they have the nuts why would they want to fold us out. And i dont think low small stakes players are really analyzing what their bet size is "supposed" to imply. I see a ton of ppl at low small playing nut hands insanely passively all the time. well get to show down and im wondering how they havent bet anywhere. Just what ive noticed before i get fired at for being wrong lol.

The problem with the first play, x/j river... is it just doesn’t work at low stakes. 10$ mtt players are snapping kq there. Also... who checks AQ or flush on river? No one... so the jam looks super fishy. The hand ur trying to rep x/r turn...no?
@PokerCoaching4 жыл бұрын
...all good players check the river with effective nut hands to protect the load of marginal made hands. Make sure you watch my tournament masterclass at PokerCoaching.com/premium. This is a vitally important concept.

If someone is terrible enough to play that straightforward surely they are terrible enough to call with top pair.

It seems GTO - that Jonathan is attempting to sell weigh's heavily on the fact - if you bust you can rebuy - multiple times. Also - not to point out the obvious - but I will - Jonathan plays extremely NITTY - not anything close to these GTO charts. :) Those min-raise shove/fold charts - are extremely loose (overall losing strat) - GTO? The examples provided are extremely weak, and no-where near reality - at micro/low stakes. Any min-raise open by a short stack is getting 3bet profusely by aggro players who are holding any suited ace and 2 broadway cards or any big stack with the chips to spare. It's just not realistic. Unless a player is known as being a NIT no short stack min-open is getting all the way to the blinds without confrontation. You will be up against at least 2 other opponents, if not pressed for your entire stack preflop. min-opening any moderately strong hand facing 2-3 opponents or a 3bet or preflop shove - is just giving away 10% of your remaining chips. Why? to hopefully VPIP into a pair - hopefully top pair? Seems wrong and overall losing strat. I'll stick with my non GTO winning formula when I'm running with a short stack, which is also not a push/fold strat, but is also not nearly as wide as those charts. All other provided content is great Jonathan. Thanks

After 30 days my fundamentals are getting stronger I played a lot the moneymaker era I did well because everyone was weak. Older Evan Jarvis training sessions have been a godsend, I understand him well and then I pre- test his conclusions and training sessions by finding information in pokercoaching. Keeps me busy keeps me looking keeps me satisfied that I'm studying and progressing thanks everyone.
