I just binged watch the show, and I can confirm it is amazing. It does start a bit slow but as any great show, it totally pays off. I hope people give it a shot, great interview guys!

Great interview. I just started the 3rd book Deaths End. The first 2 have blown my mind so far so I can only imagine what’s going to happen next

If the book really is this good, and the second trailer is a good portrail of the series, then this is going to be a gorgeous experience! 🤩

It's a trilogy of books. The first book, Three Body Problem is actually the weakest of the 3 books. I think most of us have watched Roland Emmerich's Independent's Day. This story is like polar opposite of that in execution... but it's still an alien invasion story. It's like saying a Song of Ice and Fire is just another fantasy novel series, which is technically true, but obviously it's far more complicated than that. Nothing in Hollywood has ever done anything like it or told this way before so I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised.

Didn't realize that Alexander Woo was involved too. Remembering how The terror TV show was awesome and quite unique, I'm more and more optimistic about this adaptation. Now I haev to finish the 3 books real quick before the show starts...

I dare someone interviewing Benioff and Weiss asking them why season 8 is BAD
@jonathanlopez69537 ай бұрын
It seems to me the reason why their written episode, their directing episode of GoT S08 is “uninspiring/bad” is because they already done with the series, and the fandom. You can’t juggle the expectations of the fan of the books, the fan of the series, trying outsmarting of the leakers, the un expected happening within the production, the wants of the directors and the wants of the head of the studio. They are not given blank checks to finish their story. Same thing that happen with Harrison Ford, he is done with Indiana Jones and Star Wars.
@Sarahmint7 ай бұрын
It's common knowledge that they were offered to produce a Star Wars movie for Disney lucasfilm but only if they had time so they rush ended the last season and ended up losing their Disney offer due to the treatment of GoT, they changed their minds.

Is there an answer that would satisfy you?
@joramsim4 ай бұрын
@@jonathanlopez6953 Be that as it may, that doesnt change that they fucked it up majorly and that its only their fault. If they didnt want to do it anymore then why not give it to other filmmakers? HBO Wanted more seasons and were ready to pay for those, martin talked about the show maybe being 10 seasons long. These guys and their Ego destroyed one of the greatest shows in cinema because they were to proud to give it to someone else.
@jeffbachman29494 ай бұрын
@Sarahmint no it's not they announced years before Star Wars it would end with 8 seasons they said way back in 2012 it would he 7 or 8 seasons. That star wars stuff is just a lie

You’re not intelligent for parroting the exact thing 90% of the fandom has done for the last five years. Give it a rest and have a unique thought to communicate.

They didn’t talk about spoiling Game of Thrones
@ReelBlend7 ай бұрын
See quotes on lengths they went to keep from spoiling Thrones on plane rides during the making of the show, and particularly a script being spoiled when someone read the script over their shoulder and went on to discuss it publicly on a podcast. :)

@@ReelBlend ahhhh the old one-two. Just so you know, you got your click and view, but I felt immensely betrayed by going through this with the notion I might hear them respond to the public perception that they ruined (“spoiled”) game of thrones. In retrospect, I see this very well could be my own bias of interpretation, so I won’t lay the blame on you, but after so many minutes I admit I was disappointed.

Can see where you might have interpreted that way but no, not our intention to even imply that in our headline. Hope you can find some joy out of the interview either way!
