My favorite Meta was by far when Rosa got released, everyone was playing her and you were the doomguy when you were the only Rosa of the game. That was chaotic. Rosa's only fairly decent counter was Shelly because she could litterally spam supers if Rosa was to close. The fact that this meta was so short made it very fun while it lasted

I remember when Barley was totally broken in Heist, he’s super used to stack up so if you throw the super when standing next to the safe and hit all 5 bottles, it would deal like 800 times 5 times 4 damage. So like 16 000 damage in total, absolutely insane

I’d love to see a part 2. I didn’t play the beta version but I started the day it was globally released and on the first day I was hooked by the game. I’ve played almost every day since that first day and it would be nice to see the evolution of the game as a reminder of how well the game has developed (and at the same time you could give cred to the developers for all their work during these years). I especially remember when Rosa was first released. Everyone played her all the time and it was chaos in every game with everyone having supers basically non stop. Not sure when in the timeline that she was released but if you do a part 2 I’ll know ;) great video as always and congrats on moving into your new house

I’m glad the 2 day piper auto-aim meta was at least mentioned in passing. That was certainly an…interesting time to play the game in. Also I’m surprised you didn’t mention one of the main reasons auto aim was so good: it didn’t activate if no one was in range. I’m pretty sure changing this was the final step needed to make it no longer broken

I remember the Rosa release day, all 10 players in showdown were Rosa and her super lasted 3x longer which made battles last almost 10 minutes, that was the most fun I’d ever had

I definitely like this kind of idea for a video. I’ve been playing since the first day of global and I got to say, even though the OP brawlers kinda broke the meta, it was special. Bandaid Shelly was one of the main ones I think about. It’s so interesting how 1 star power made basically the worst brawler into a beast. Great video again Kairos :)

This was a really interesting video! I have been playing for a long time and have seen the meta change over the past 3 and a half years. My favorite balance changes were when tanks started receiving super charge from being damaged. It really made them fun to play again for the first time in months.

Wow, this brought me way back. I remember watching the KZbinr tournament, and I created my account just days after the beta release, and honestly still think of piper and brawl ball as new content., despite them being in the game for years at this point. Watching this, I relived the entirety of that beta period. Most jarring for me was remembering that grass used to regrow. Thank you kairos for the nostalgia. On another note, I was fortunate enough to get Leon the day after his release, and he was really fun, but that was due to him being brokenly overpowered.

1. Oh I definitely want a part 2 of this 2. I remember when I first downloaded BS (it just went global so I do have Shelly’s skin) and when I played Leon terrorized every game mode I played, he was an absolute monster at the time and definitely the one brawler you would aim to get

I preregistered for brawl and here are some metas I remember suffering through and enjoying. Rosa on release(was essentially invincible once she got a super). Leon on release(could walk up to people undetected, super lasted like 9 seconds I think). Jacky on release(too much dmg too much hp). Gene on release (not really meta but he did break the game). Surge on release(most annoying star power ever). Edgar on release (was free as well 💀, basically like a Shelly that could jump on you and erase you). That time they buffed barley's range just a little. Sandy(I'm pretty sure he needed a super nerf and super charge nerf on release.) Stu(LMAO you guys remember the infinite stun lock he had?) Colt( he had a free 3,000 DMG with his wall break gadget. And could shred any brawler in seconds). Tanks in general ( with the passive tanks received to auto super charge they on certain maps they were just too strong. They could essentially die once and get a free super.) Crow( he used to get 70% DMG reduction with his shield gadget basically making him immortal). Darryl ( has been too strong a few times because of his shield star power. I believe at one point it gave 90% dmg reduction and lasted 3 seconds) Carl is kinda obvious if you've played brawl stars in the last few weeks. 8-bit (could revive mid game with full ammo and a shield) Bea ( could survive any incoming DMG for 3 seconds EVERY TIME she respawned, when she got killed she'd live at 1hp with invulnerability for like 3 seconds). Mr.p (to be honest I don't remember all that was wrong with him but he had too much range and was too strong on release) Sprout( it's walls tormented in brawl ball and put the respawn shield into the game) Grom (Grom was just pain his attack was reworked because even after several nerfs he was ridiculous). Max ( she was banned from tournaments because of how powerful she was as a support. ) Amber on release (too much dmg). Ruffs (remember getting three shot by ruffs because he could unload 3 ammo quicker than a Jacky? He could legit have three ammo on the map at the same time cause his unload speed was so fast.) Ill exclude chromatics and meg, they're pretty recent but I guess I can list the ones that probably were the most annoying. Eve, fang, Janet, belle, and Lola. They all needed nerfs on release and for good reason, they were op.

I haven't played BrawlStars in a while. (In like about 2 years) and there's just so many new Brawlers I keep seeing or hearing about. I'm really an absolute game nerd myself as well, on some games that I love for real (definitely not BrawlStars) and I'd see me doing a video just like Kairos did with this one (but with a different game). That's why I'm honestly pretty excited for the next part of BrawlStars's history walkthrough considering it's one of the most well known amd complex mobile games. Hey Kairos, I have a good idea to make Rosa's first gadget better. Make the bush spawning mechanic act like Sprout's Super (sprout walls extend whenever there are normal walls close by). Let the bush still cover 3x3 when there are no walls or bushes close by. Bonus: Rosa's Star Powers may need a slight buff as well to compensate the new levels (i.e.) let Rosa recover 225 health or deal 250 additional damage (12.5% buff) in the case of her first and second star power respectively.

I didn't download the game until global release, and even then quit playing week one because I was such a Clash Royale simp I didn't think a game like Brawl would succeed. It's interesting seeing all the history before I even touched the game, and then all the history past release
