I’ve been watching your videos since you had just recently given birth to Lil, and I had just found out I was pregnant! You could pop a curtain rod on each bunk bed so each of them can close it if they dont want to be disturbed or be woken by the light or whatever. The new bunk reminds me of military bunks specifically on navy ships.

A tip for IKEA is to always double check by scanning the items because sometimes they forget to remove the unavailable tag. Also the room looks amazing!!! Great job to both of you. But I can only image how hard it is going to be to make the top bunk.

Love the makeover. When I accidentally ordered duvet covers I just put my kids current comforters inside, worked great for us. Also we have that gaming chair in blue and green lol my oldest 2 love them

Do they normally come with duvets/comforters as well in the US? In the UK I've only ever bought duvet covers on their own - they usually come with 2 pillow cases that match them but you just buy one duvet and then multiple duvet covers...

@@Lioness99a Some people will buy duvets/duvet covers, but I’d say that the vast majority of people in the US just buy comforters that have the color or print on the actual comfort (meaning there is no removable insert or duvet cover involved). I’d say that duvets/duvet covers are a little bit more popular in the US now than they used to be, but they are definitely not anywhere near as popular or widely used as comforters (all in one) are.

A comforter with a built-in cover is an American thing. (I had never really seen it before moving to America for 1 year.) In Australia most doona/duvet comes separately to the cover. So you can change the cover without washing the full doona. You can also get different internal doonas e.g. summer, winter, down, wool etc. So that way you get the look your after with the doona style you want. It is worth looking up the britto doona roll on KZbin. It makes putting the doona in the cover so much easier.

I have that same triple bunk bed I think but it took so long to put together but it has stayed so sturdy. my girls like to push out the supports on the bed above them though. They get a surprise when they go to lay down and part of the mattress falls through the hole haha

I so prefer duvets. Once you have the inner if they get older and decide they want to change the theme you don’t have to buy a whole new bulky blanket just the cover! I’ve had the same one for years they wash easy too
