I actually have a menorah I wanted to use as the centerpiece but it just didn't look right with everything else on the table. love them all but have to say I just love the last one. Not into the blue but love love love the oriental style and the kids would love it too. Last year I had a little forest made with homemade trees using wood and felt with small porcelain creatures and it was a big hit. I like them all, but number 3 is my favorite because of my fondness for cobalt blue ANYTHING. Regarding table setting, loved the 4/5 letter correlation. Something I use when I teach etiquette is B-M-W, bread, meal, water--especially handy at formal dinners when the table is full and people are trying to figure out who a glass or bread plate belongs to. I am torn between the first and second settings. The deciding factor is the combination of things that make the first table setting so beautiful. I'm having a hard time deciding which table I like better! My personal favourite probably is the first one, but I love the feeling of the second one as it really reminds me of when I used to be a little girl at my grandmothers house sitting down to Christmas dinner. I think out of the 3, I'll most likely be following suit for #2! #3 also hits home personally - the plates you have from your wedding, I have the matching pieces from my Grandmother. She left those to me and when I saw your cobalt blue in how to decorate a built in, it reminded me of them. One day I'll hopefully ship them from the US to the UK, but I'm so scared they'll break that I just haven't bitten the bullet!
