It's a good au for Yuuichi to want Ayanokoji's approval, to listen to him. But it's not like Ayanokouji is pushing Yuuichi for it, it's more like Yuuichi is doing it because he respects and loves Ayanakouji. Still, it wouldn't be wrong to think it was cute, wouldn't it- A manipulator and a genius, two goats seem to make a great partners together.

I can see Yuuichi at first seeing the values in Ayanokoji, he knows Ayanokoji have something big planned going on for the future so he purposely tries and partner himself up with Ayanokoji knowing he will gain a lot from this partnership he have with him, not only that i can also see him using Ayanokoji as a safety net knowing that one day he will slip and Ayanokoji saving him incase that happens as long as he prove useful to Ayanokoji, Ayanokoji used this fact knowing he could used Yuuichi as well, having another intellectual like Yuuichi who doesn't even flinch or hesitate causing harms to others as well as having the adaptability to create a plan on the spot could prove useful to him as well, these two have such a unique dynamic, they know they are using eachothers and they're not even bothered by it, because by the end of it they know they could gain a lot from using eachothers.
