One takeaway is the statement that exemplars are used for probability, but it isn't probability; it's likelihood. See the old chestnut about the feminist bank-teller.

Very good, except epistemologic pitfalls : "It's not a definition but a theory." doesn't mean anything at all.

3 lectures and all I understood is how a waste of time and resources this cognitive linguistics theory has been. It is a poorly done descriptive analysis of human language, with nothing profound but piles and piles of bland statistical facts. Ad-hoc generalizations and arbitrary categories and models. Nope, Chomsky's theory is not all correct but is definitely more closer to the actual nature of language. "Metaphors are physically in our brain"!??? Well I already know that everything I say, hear, see, think or feel has a biological signature in our brains, what exactly is the point?
