Such an amazing way to manage a program with multiple projects. Could be a nifty way to put links to projects. GENIUS !!!

I love the kanban component just as it is. The only thing I miss is that they don't sync with planner. I love using planner on Teams as my central hub for everything task related assigned to me.

Love the linking. I agree that in the call out main detail page, you would need to stress no dates on it and use the kanban card / table and also indicate that the page is a child of the Kanban card. Also linking back to the board task from the child detail page is needed. It’s something i have always done in notebooks with pages and sections and paragraphs as is saves a lotta time

Great ideas for back linking. I hope one day we get suggested back links or even automatic ones.

Great video - comment about 2:10 Can't you start a checklist list in a text column (while in a table) by hitting / and then Checklist (or did I misunderstand your point). Also it would be cool to add a back link to the first page from the subpages.

Thank you Rob. When adding a checklist to a text column, you will have to add it manually to each new row you add. I found that the checklist column in the Kanban component adds the checklist to each new row. Great idea about the backlink to the Kanban page. I should create a page template with the backlink. Then use the template for each new item.

@@DarrellaaS I think I'm finally getting your point (which is a good one). If you want to have checklists in your table - start with a Kanban board and then customize the columns if needed. To continue this thought - use Task List if you want it to connect to Planner (ToDo) - use Voting Table if you want bullet points. Progress Tracker can also have Checklists (blockers)

Quick question - I am trying to consolidate some kanban boards. Lets say there is a master and a few dept kanban boards. I want the department ones to roll up to the master. I cannot seem to make it do that is there a workaround or another solution?

very interesting video. Is it possible that the tasks from the Kanban also appear in the Planner? With /task the tasks are displayed directly in Planner/ToDo. Unfortunately I can't do this with /kanban.

If you start with Kanban then the items don’t create a Planner plan. If you start with Task list it creates a plan. But that Task list can be viewed as a Kanban board too. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3W3eJ2El9VnpZI&si=fYKRyAMXno2Z0Iih

@@DarrellaaS Thank you for your answer. But unfortunately I don't have the options under Task, such as the linking you describe in your video.

Is there a way to update the date on the Kanban automatically? Say I move an item to Done then the date on the item will show the current date it was move to done.

Not today. Good feature request thought.

Great tips here fellow TAPper. Maybe adding a link on the subject page that takes you back to the kanban page.

Thank you Pieter. Yes I think I will add a breadcrumb styled link to a page template for tasks in a project workspace.

I wish we can automate the movement of the cards on the kanban board
@DarrellaaS3 ай бұрын
Do you like when you update the status of a card from not started, to in progress?
@lyndistech3 ай бұрын
@@DarrellaaS Yes 🥰. Where a certain condition has been met or a certain time passes. And also where a card has not been modified for a certain time or update another card when a related card is modified.
