THe strobe effect was too intense. So I changed the frame length to 5 frames and kept the opacity at 60 percent. Much less triggering and also did not require as much "muscle" from my computer.

ooo that strobe one was fun! gotta be careful with stuff like that though, epilepsy and such. I just made my own lightning strike transition using a white template dissolve and a lightning sound effect.

Both the video export as well as video render within the editing software is extremely slow. If there is a way to fix this please let me know.

It is called getting a good computer, lol. No, but really if you have a good GPU you can use GPU accelerated rendering (and export). That helps a lot if you have a good graphics card.
