Hi Gregor, absolutely amazing mate, what a trip. Pretty disappointing to see the state those people left the Bothy in. I know there is no rule about not bagging your spot in a Bothy, but the least you can do is leave it tidy when you are not in. The views you had over the three days were jus5 epic. Absolutely loved watching the adventure, thanks as always for taking us along. All the best mate, Dave 😀⛰🥾🏕️🏴🏴

How do you keep from losing your way and getting turned around?
@steveworthington9302 сағат бұрын
Remote yes, wilderness no, Polsven has the right idea on his vast estates, rewilding, maybe reintroduce Lynx. The vermin deer have turned the Highland,s into a wet desert, out of control.

EH?? What wet desert?? Red deer (specifically) are an indigenous Scottish species that predate or have co-existed with mankind since the colonisation after the ice sheets retreated from the last ice age. The great Caledonian forests were cut down by man!!! The Highland landscapes were moulded by waves of clearances of native people's and economically driven estate/farming practices. Goodbye deer, hello sheep!! The only survivor from the prehistoric ecology is the Midge. A scourge to both deer and human alike😂😂

Pleeze, pleeze spare us the pot noodles. You've done that to death😦😦. Mountains?? When did you decide to break away the channel from challenging the high tops??😢 But where did you get the crazy idea that Scotland's 'barren areas' are the fault of a single indigenous wildlife specious (red deer). We, humans alone, have created this emptiness. The great highland forests were cut down to service our 'needs' (two world wars stoked the process of course). The wildlife were left to get by on the scraps that remain or to entertain (in death) the wealthy owners of the land. Introducing apex predator's in the wild is a fantastic idea. But how would you deal with encountering a lynx or a wolf-pack that saw you as lunch!!
