Lucky you. Here in the UK we can't and we don't have places and opportunities. Maybe somewhere up north in Scotland. I admire how free you are out there. You don't have to say single word. It's obvious what we see.

I was thinking just that, the space and ability to get away from people seems to be fantastic in Sweden. They have the right to roam (except private land) but there seems to be enough land to escape.

We can actually roam private land too as much as we like. Need to ask permission if camping more than one night in the same spot but it's more like a suggestion than a rule to abide to. Not always easy to find a land owner on vast estates.

@@SnowyAspenHills you cant camp on the "tomt". Dont know english word but its the immediate surroundings of a house. Dont set up a tent within sight of a private property. That is the rule here.

Hi way down there in AL, I'm way up here in MA.. I've been watching Swedwoods since pretty much the 1st time he was on KZbin & he's a cool dude! The silly running joke I started with him when he used to reply more is how he'd end up being the guide to get some of those Swedish & other Euro metal bands going out in the woods to do music videos back to civilization. I know it would detract from what he does, but I still 1/2 expect him to run into some band like Eluvite or, not long ago, Anette Olzon where she did a music video in an area that I swear Swed went to later on ( song calked "Lies", you may like it? It's on KZbin) Swed looks like a slightly older version of this guy Kristian I know from a band called "Fires In The Distance" who played in my area last year. I hope you'll catch up on his videos, lots of cool stuff going on in them.

Thank you for that information and burning coffee on the fire to keep the flys away. My question is do you dump the old coffee grounds on the fire like sprinkle them over the fire or just use some and water and let them burn up say in a empty metal can from say a can of beans etc. Thank you every little bit of good old bush craft tips are for life and to pass down to the young
