This was perfect thanks! I went to Banff area twice when I was a kiddo but it has been 15 years or so since I was here. My husband has had this on his bucket list for years and decided it would be a good quick trip. I had similar items on my itinerary as you did and we are going at the end of September 2033. Good info. Thanks

Enjoyed your video and info. Most of the Mountain views were beautiful and clear; a few were “muted”; was that from smoke?

Glacial till is what causes the blue color. Highly, highly unlikely that it is granite in the Canadian Rockies. Most commonly limestone.
@tracetravel Жыл бұрын
Very good point! While it is not made up of granite, it is still widely known as “glacial flour” comprised of primarily limestone and shale. Thanks!

Where did you park for the Hector lake? Awesome spotting of this lake❤
@tracetravel Жыл бұрын
We parked just at the trailhead about 20 minutes outside of the town before lake Louise. I’d recommend downloading all trails and using that to find the trail head!

Hii thanks for all the information shared! Would you say those hikes to get to the lakes are difficult? I’m planning to go because of the beautiful landscapes but tbh I’m not really sporty so I’m kind of scared 😅
@tracetravel Жыл бұрын
All of the hikes were super easy, actually! You don't need to worry about the difficulty as they are all heavily tracked, just bring some hiking/walking shoes and you'll be good to go 👍

Any park restrooms on the hiking trails?
@tracetravel Жыл бұрын
On all the more popular trails, there are park restrooms at the entrance and end of the hikes!
