Even highly educated people are paid far less compared to western countries. But still we love our country for it's true values

as an unofficial ambassador for this country :P it warms my heart to not only see you enjoying it, but to find that "click". i had the same thing many years ago, i lived and loved so deeply in sri lanka that when it was no longer my home, i parcelled off the trauma from leaving and didnt process it for about 7 years. i just couldnt. I have to have been sri lankan in a past life because i adore this country to my bones, and its so nice to see people who have never been visiting, and falling in love with its magical charm.

Hiya! I see so much wildlife hopping around, love it. What a difference Sri Lanka is compared to Europe. The way they invite and prepare food for you is so welcoming. Nothing better than a home-cooked meal from a local. Community feelings are the ones I’m looking for while traveling. And pool or sea views are a must. You’ve got it all. That ‘click’ is something I only had in 3 places: Melbourne, London and Bonaire. It’s something unique. Sigirya has insanely gorgeous views 😮. Thanks for sharing and have a great week ahead 🤙

I'll tell you right now, Sri Lankans love to feed guests hahaha and the coconut roti they made in the village tour as gluten free too, Felix! They grow the rice and hand-grind it into rice flour then make the roti from that. It's incredibly chewy in all the best ways :) A chef at another hotel was telling me how lucky I was to try it that way, especially as they usually just use normal flour.
