In my honest opinion, the third horror story was the WORST out of these three because being assaulted while on the job at a Halloween haunted attraction and being followed while driving back home right after that is just horrific in so many ways because that poor person could've been raped and/or killed in cold blood had they not went to the nearest police station for safety reasons. I'm VERY glad they made the smartest decision in that situation! We must always remember to be aware of our surroundings anywhere we're at.

definitely stupid on the part of the attraction's managers in that story. actually tying up the actor was really not necessary, and it only meant they couldn't do anything if something bad happens, and lo and behold, something does happen.

Yeah I can’t imagine that haunted house had any sort of insurance policy in place bc either way, whether they provided general advice for frequent red flags or went so far as to prescreen the acts, I don’t see them continuing with such a safety violation concern. There should have been a fail-safe in place that wouldn’t leave a person so helpless. What if there was a fire or some other disastrous situation? It’s like a sitting duck scenario.

Alcohol, Pot, PTSD and a haunted house- what could possibly go wrong!?! In story 3, it occurred to me that the set up of the girl tied to a tree could have some really serious health and safety concerns, like what happens if that dry corn field catches alight and she's tied to a post in the middle of a burning corn field?

THIS ^. There was absolutely no reason why she shouldn't just pretend to be tied up. In America, I'd also be concerned about a mass shooter.

That person and her family probably could have taken legal action against that haunted house. Tying up a girl in a cornfield and leaving her by herself like that was negligent and irresponsible. It sounds like she was a kid at the time, so she probably thought the people in charge knew what they were doing and someone would be around to help her if needed. It just boggles my mind that the owner of that haunted house really thought it was a good idea to do that.

If you're gonna have a section of your horror attraction with a girl tied up, you at the very least need to give her a safe word or something. Something to let the crew know something's up. Ideally, you want it to LOOK like she's tied up, but make it so she can easily get away should the need arise. Maybe a walkie on hand or something. That's a very good and effective element to include for the fun horror of the attraction, but you gotta be aware of the actual creeps. Stay safe, friends.

As a haunt actor, I will say (and many others agree) in our POV, the scariest part of working at a haunt, is the guests. We have to be so careful, cautious and try our best to read each person before interacting seconds later. I've personally known several actors having to be hospitalized due to guests thinking it's "funny" to beat the life out of the "monsters." I still act because to the guests who do engage with the show appropriately, it can make a lot of great memories. But I also know most actors stop doing haunts, because of bad guests. So please, this season, and every Halloween season, do haunt actors the biggest favor and be the reason we want to keep doing our jobs, not the opposite. We do this for you.

I still feel guilty for this but once an actor came up from behind, wasn't expecting it and it was close enough for me shrug my shoulder bc I had goosebumps. unfortunately fight or flight kicked in and I pushed the actor and said dont touch me. I didnt mean to. I honestly didnt, it just happened. however, it wasn't funny. im just happy im not some huge guy that punched the actor. coming up that close from behind in just not a good idea and needless to say, me attending those events are not a good idea.

As someone who has both been through and participated in a few haunted house attractions, it is a common rule that you're not supposed to touch the scare actors and vice-versa. A normal haunted house would lay out those rules if you're just a visitor or if you're an actor; otherwise, if you or an actor break those rules, you'd be thrown out or in certain cases, there would be assault charges. Keep that in mind in case you go to one this year, though as we've learned in the first and third stories, anything can happen so be careful in general.

I remember going to 1 when I was in the 5th or 6th gd & it was just a smaller 1 put on our by our local smaller school. But I remember from the 1st step I took in there & saw the actors jumping out at me, I just KEPT SCREAMING "DON'T TOUCH ME! DO NOT TOUCH ME! NOBODY TOUCH ME!" & Nobody had actually touched me but for some reason, I guess I just really thought they were going to & it freaked me COMPLETELY out! Those poor highschoolers probably thought I was a COMPLETE spastic basket case who has lost her mind! I still remember the "wall" the 1st guy was hidden in\behind & how pitch black it was etc & then the kitchen scene w\all the butchered body parts & then there was the lady in the bathtub scene that was like some freaky bloody Mary type & definitely the best actress of the bunch bc she LEGIT freaked me out & creeped me out the most & it wasn't a jump scare or a gore-scare! Anyways, your comment abt no touching just reminded me! I can still remember the smell too bc of the fall smell outside & then the smell of trash bags & what I can only assume was a corn-syrup & fruit punch concoction! & I've been to other Haunted Houses b4 & after & none affected me as strongly. Idk if it was just that they were good (which is hard to believe for such a small high school in an almost non-existent town in the country!) Or if maybe I was just more susceptible that particular time due to whatever was going on in my life. Still... 🤷‍♀️ Touching in those places should NEVER happen bc they are terrifying enough w\o it. & I think there are actual places that broadcast & publicize that they offer hands on experience where the actors are allowed & expected to physically touch & manipulate the guests but CONSENT ya know, it's rated E for EVERYONE! If u don't sign up for 1 of those experiences than no touchy touchy!

I used to work as a haunt actor. So I know how they operate. I'll provide some insight and some advice: In most haunted attractions, actors are not allowed to touch you. Only the most extreme ones allow physical contact. But those places aren't that widespread. In general, they're not well liked by the haunt community. If you have strong anxiety and PTSD, I wouldn't recommend going to a haunted attraction. They can definitely be intense. If you feel like your having a panic attack, look for the nearest emergency exit. An actor that's nearby will most certainly break character and get you to safety if necessary. One thing I'll also add: Avoid going to these places drunk or high. A little buzz if fine. But we've definitely dealt with people who were too inebriated to be inside the haunt. Some have even tried to start a fight. The girl in the last story shouldn't have been tied up for real in my view. Especially not in a haunted maze. Even without the creeps coming through the maze, it's a hazard to keep someone tied up for real. If the maze were to catch fire, the actor needs to be able to get free. And of course, DO NOT TOUCH THE ACTORS! You can't even give them a high five. Haunted attractions can be a lot of fun. But it's important to remember that safety has to come first when visiting them.

I can relate to Story 2 so much. Literally woke up one night to see my dad down the dark hallway because I slept with my door open. When I called for him he didn’t answer and even acknowledge me. So I called for my mom and she came in completely ignoring him standing there next to him. She turned all the lights on and the apparition faded away slowly.

There are haunted houses where the actors are not allowed to touch you or ones that give you a choice whether to be touched or not and when you choose the "don't touch" option (which I always choose), they stamp your hand or give you a bracelet that glows so the actors know not to touch you. Plus it also helps to always go with friends so you can band together as you walk through it and not feel alone getting scared (The linking arms method works best so you don't loose anyone on your way through)

I love the new idea for the videos theme. The first story, I'll admit, it can happen to anyone if we're not careful but at least the actors knew when to help the visitors when trouble strikes. The second story, I got family in Fort Worth Texas but when it comes to going to a haunted house, you shouldn't go to one if you're high or have alcohol in you or if you have PTSD. Because if you got all the above. Then a haunted house during Halloween will only make things worse for your mental health wise. But I like that the actors and the guy's friends and his mother all knew what to do to help him out because they knew the past trauma he experienced so it's nice he's got family and friends to help him out as they're aware of the situation. The third story, the people who worked at that haunted house were very understanding and compassionate about the situation the lady went through and I'm glad the workers helped her out too. I'm glad she got the attackers off her back when she pulled up in a police station's parking lot. I love how these stories panned out.

I once took an employee to one of those "not a lot of people at a Haunted House" attractions years ago. It's the same as Story 1 - you can't use your phone as a light was posted. But then at one point it got weird and the actors got pervy with my employee (he was really strong so it was funny for him but I got a bit panicked) and they made us go into a dark room so I took out my phone and used the light. They got pissed and kicked us out. Hindsight, we probably dodged a bullet.

I feel so sorry for all of these people. Imagine being in a full-blown panic attack and thinking your friends should finish the haunted house because they spent so much money. PTSD and haunted houses don't go well together in most cases. Where the hell was security in stories 1 and 2? It sounded like she was tied up for real, which is a terrible idea for lots of safety reasons. You can look tied up without actually being tied up. I've worked at a now-defunct haunted house in the Northeast US; these were all more upsetting than scary for me.
