A girl who I met 4 years ago and with whom I used to be incredibly close and developed very strong feelings for told me this was one of her favorite songs. Things happened between us and sadly we’re no longer friends nor do we speak, but this song will always make me think of her and the memories we made together. Great tone. This song has always been somewhat of a monster to learn in a sense because of how many “ghost” notes/chords there are underneath the main stuff you hear

❤ Happy New Year to you Andy and to all the people who comment. ✨🎉🥂😊💖 I have a curiosity: How does it work to earn money on KZbin? Do you monetize with the short ad at the beginning of the video or with the viewcount or based on the number of subscribers? Or with all of these things together?
@MysticGuitar77Ай бұрын
Happy New Year! Because of copyright, most of my videos can't be monetized but occasionally they'll let you share the ad revenue if it recognizes it as a cover. It literally amounts to fractions of a penny per each video but it adds up over hundreds of videos to something at least. You make money from people viewing the ads or directly tipping you. Again, since most of my videos are copyright claimed, the tipping option is disabled for most of the videos unfortunately. Long story short; you can't make any real money doing covers on KZbin because of copyright lol.

@@MysticGuitar77 I think you do more than 100 covers a year so how much do you earn? About 20/30/40 dollars? It's still good money, better than nothing. 😃 Who decides if a cover is considered a cover? What characteristics must a cover have to be recognized as such?
@MysticGuitar77Ай бұрын
@SaraM-m5i It's quite a bit more than that but not enough to be sustainable as like a full-time job or anything. It's more like a part-time income. KZbin's copyright system is all automated. Whenever you upload, KZbin will scan it and automatically detect if it has any copyrighted material in it. I honestly don't know how it determines what qualifies as a cover and what isn't. I think it's totally up to whatever the copyright policy is for that particular song. Some allow revenue sharing and some don't, there's no way to know until you upload it and see what KZbin judges the video as. It's about 50/50.

@@MysticGuitar77 Sorry for the mistake, you were talking about fractions of a penny so I did a quick calculation and thought about 50 dollars but it's much more so very good!! 😃 😊And how does the payment of your earnings work? How often does KZbin pay you? Do they send the money directly to your bank?
