I do prefer the Differin in the pump bottle because it dispenses the exact amount that you need for your face and chest. (I use the CeraVe resurfacing retinol on my neck). The tiny .05 oz bottle has lasted me over 3 months using it 3x a week so it really is economical. Ulta often has it on BOGO sale. Either way, I agree that adapalene is a great product!

Fun fact: Tretinoin was developed as an acne medication just like Adapalene. I don’t have acne and my skin is not oily but I use Differin because it is said to be less irritating than Tret. I love the information you give as I know nothing about anti-aging skin care (I’ve been a foaming cleanser and $40-$60 moisturizer kind of girl)! Being in my early 30’s I’ve noticed my skin has taken a turn for the worst! I’ve gone out and bought a retinoid, 1 AHA, 1 AHA/BHA, two mineral sunscreens, 1 moisturizer and 1 gel cleanser. Hi Angie! I began watching your videos a month or two ago and am a big fan! Thank you for all of the clear, sensible advice! It's such a pleasure to watch you, with your lovely smile and just seemingly very nice personality. You handled your recent events including that BIG move with dignity and aplomb, I must say! Love your new place! Anyway I'm just writing to let you know that I'm 69 years old (but in no way feeble!) and have just begun a skin care routine for the first time in my life. You have inspired me! I am just an aging hippie so have been "natural" all these years. When I retired at 50 I wiped off my makeup, took off my bra and never looked back. LOL BUT now I have been doing my daily skin routine for several weeks, based almost entirely on what I've learned about the "good chemicals" one needs in our skin products from you. I made a few missteps, of course. Now corrected! My skin is really showing results! I still need a new mineral sunscreen because I bought one before watching your recommendations, and my Clinique isn't very effective. And I wasn't using enough. I live at the beach, literally! I'm feeling so much better about myself now that I'm taking better care of myself. It's never too late and one is never too old to start! Next hurdle, what to do with completely white eyebrows. Then ... eek! Makeup! Thank you! A fan Kathy On OBX

I think if you're talking about sensitive, easily irritated skin, you should be telling us if the products you recommend are scented. My rosacea flares up really ugly with most fragranced products, and quite often fragrance is not listed as such on the labels. It could be hiding in botanical ingredients or perhaps some of the silicone-type ingredients, but I'm not a cosmetic chemist and I'm easily discouraged when I pay good money for something I must immediately return. Help us out just a little more! Love your presentations and hope you continue to give good info for all of us!

So unless you are truly whitening your skin for vampiric costume or Goth reasons, it should be fine. I have used Retin A for a very long time and thought i understood much about retinols as well. When clicking on these products to purchase and test, i am confused about something you said. This product : MOONLIGHT RETINAL SUPER SERUM 565 reviews Back in Stock Meet Moonlight, an upgrade on retinol serums. Our breakthrough was in choosing retinaldehyde (retinal), a form of Vitamin A which is estimated to be up to 20 times more effective than retinol. If you had given up on high potency retinol or prescription retinoic acid products due to irritation, Moonlight is the solution you've been looking for. This form or Tretanoin, (retinal or retinaldehye) is explained in the above description to be stronger than retinol, but from what i understood that you said, is a weaker form. ?? (Still gonna buy it and a couple of others above though to test out)
@meganNefarious3 жыл бұрын
The ladder goes.. retinol (lowest strength, skin has to use 2 steps (I believe) to convert to retin a, least irritating.. Then retinal (retinaldehyde) stronger than retinol but skin still has to go through a step to convert it to retin a... Then Tretinoin.. the gold standard in anti aging.. retinoic acid..or retin a. The strongest and hardest to adapt to. Skin does not need to take any steps to convert.

I agree with you. Prescription strength Retin-A is very effective. I live in Georgia (Europe) and I can get Retin-A, for about $5.00 a tube. I rotate between a stronger version from Turkey and one from India, on alternate nights. They can of course, be drying to the skin, but I think the key is what products you use in combination with the retin-a. I don't use soap and water to cleanse my skin, because it would just be too drying, in combination with the retin-a. Instead I use Garnier mis-cellar water, to cleanse my skin, and remove makeup.
@meganNefarious3 жыл бұрын

I have mature skin that tends to break out from sunscreen. I prefer a tinted version because I don’t bother with foundation with a mask. I personally love the Australian Gold but my Ulta only stocks it periodically. The MyChelle was too dry for me. Unfortunately, I have also had breakouts with the EltaMD so the search continues.

You need to give Peach Slices exfoliating toner a try. It has also glycolic and lactic acid included and it’s just fabulous. Super affordable and works better for me then the famous competitor paulas choice 2% BHA which did absolutely nothing for my skin.

I love the Australia Gold Med/Tan as makeup. I don’t have oily skin or dark skin, but it works for me.

Hi Angie! There is something I am not sure about. Is discoloration the same as age spots? It doesn’t seem to be the same as discoloration affects young women. Age spots appear when we reach a certain age.

The Revitalift pure retinol is wonderful. It is specially formulated and proven to work as well as Rx. There is now over-the-counter retinol that is micronized and no need to get a prescription.

Hi Angie, just a correction. You need a prescription to get retinoic acid in Spain, as in the rest of the European Union, I believe.

Hi Angie. Thanks for recommending that Cera V vitamin C! I will have to give that a try. I always trust your recommendations so much. I also love and use the Derma e overnight peel. It’s gentile but effective. Keep up the great work! 💝💝💝

Angie, if we use Curology, is it also safe to do a gentle peel once a week?
@maurab.49223 жыл бұрын
Yes I use curolgy too. I would love to hear how often we should use acids/peels while using it.

We appreciate your advice too Beth 😀

@@trishkelly706 You should not use more than one active in a skin care routine. If you want to do the peel, skip the Curology that night.

She’s said she does a AHA peel once a week & that night she doesn’t use the Retin A. Loyal Angie follower here…Lol

Dr Dray said recently that differin is about to be pulled off drugstore shelves so get on it people! I think she said it’s going to script only. It’s not available without script here in Australia!

Retinoids are not my go to, although I have tried them [Curology, The Original]. I like glycolic + salicylic acids better. I am using both on a daily basis. I have lactic acid + Vitamin C (30%) as back ups, or the occasional change if desired. And my all time favorite moisturizer is something I whip up myself!! It is vanilla extract, honey + pure castor oil!! My skin is starting to look radiant again - before the makeup! 😎 That has been, and always will be my goal! ~I will be trying a different face wash Friday, which is when it is expected to arrive. Can’t wait! Expect “Even Greater Things,” in 2021! Shalom! ⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸⭐️🇺🇸
