I never understood how worship guitarists were getting that full sound when it looked like they were only playing a single note. now I know the trick. thank you!

The third technique is actually arpeggios on the chord shape, not a strum. But it’s a great “filler” technique nonetheless! Just need to be careful not to overdo the delay because it will wash out your playing and it will sound mushy.

Very helpful tricks. Are you playing a Highway 1 strat? But with humbucker in the bridge? Did you alter it by any chance? Got a HW1 myself and looking for a humbucker to put there…
@nds38418 ай бұрын
Thank you for the vid but at 1:07 in the Strumming section, i know that barring it and adding a finger makes D but how do you know what fingers to place to create a different chord like Em and C, etc. Is there an easier way of knowing instead of testing the sound?
@carlouvre8 ай бұрын
The method is very easy, you just need to play the high note chord then take the high chord as a melody like C, the note C is created and Em because it takes the high note
@bryanyiguitar7 ай бұрын
Hey there! Great question! The idea is that while you maintain this specific chord shape, whatever NOTE your middle finger lands on (in this example, the 8th fret of the B string is the G note), is the chord you're playing. But also, this particular shape is only for major chords - you won't be able to make a minor chord (easily) which this shape. I think I go over other chord shapes in this other vid I made: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o3rWnXqAZ6hkqZI&lc=Ugz9SraSGJxR9eNDtqh4AaABAg&ab_channel=BryanYiGuitar So it's pretty useful to have a little knowledge of the notes of guitar...or Google it haha. Hope that helped!

I’m new to e/g and have found Tonebridge from the Ultimate Guitar folk is pretty cool. I plug in to the app on my iPhone via an iRig connector that hangs from my trouser belt with the iPhone just sitting in a trouser pocket. Then iRig straight to the desk; huge choice of user defined patches available from the app. Also features BT MIDI for volume, etc. Plus it’s free and iRig kit is very cheap.

If you want to level up your faith, talk to your pastor. If you want to level up your guitar playing, talk to a non Christian guitarist.

Thanks! I know for sure it's from the Fender Stratocaster Highway One line. It was gifted to me back in 2009. Sorry I can't remember much more about it lol. These are stock pickups except for the bridge. Someone at guitar center messed up my bridge after a tune-up and they gifted me a new bridge but I don't remember the specs on it.
