Thanks Jeff. Short, sweet and sensible as usual.

Jeff, watching your garden quickies makes watching other videos difficult. I’m sure you understand or you wouldn’t have started the quickie series. A lot of people give what the video is about upfront and then beat around the bush with superfluous information. Even in your longer videos you stay on task which is why I watch your channel and take notes in my trusty notebook. Thank you again for passing your knowledge on to beginners like me. Maybe someday we’ll meet.

@@dennisshurtz2593 thanks Dennis.... You hit the nail right on the head. I find a lot of channels are more vlogs than informative. Perfectly fine, and it seems that's what people like. For me though, I just want this giant repository of video guides on gardening. I want to get to 2000+ videos that are all just how-Tom's on the different aspects of gardening. Thanks so much for noticing!

Thank you Jeff, this is great since the weather here is climbing to 100-112 and my plants are getting the heat bad, I will be doing the soaking with another tub, I got all my tubs at Trader Joe’s free! Thank you for this excellent video tips. Yes good stuff. And yes I have all my vegetables in pots. Take care 🙏🏻🥰👍👩🌾

Hi Jeff. Thanks for this reminder. At first, I was doing it all wrong. Now I'm right on with my container plants. The larger fabric grow bags ( 23"×32"×10) approx. I water the base of them. I'm not sure which veggies are ok to water from the top, so I do them all at ground level. An d only mornings. So thanks to you their coming along. Thanks again, take care, and God bless ❤️

Right on donna, so glad to hear. Once you master watering, everything else sort of just falls into place!

You have said in a few videos now that less water evapurates when you water in morning. I don't get it given the sun in sky behind your head. How does more water evapurate when watering in evening (say 1 hour before sunset)?
@TheRipeTomatoFarms Жыл бұрын
Yup, less water can evaporate over night (although the coolest part of the day is right before sunrise), the issue is watering at night can introduce fungus and disease, not to mention the plants aren't freshly watered to tackle the day. So night watering gets ruled out and the comparison is now between morning watering and afternoon watering, with morning watering being universally recognized as superiour.

Question do you have any suggestions on how to keep bugs off tomatoes n strawberry?
