Hey I have a quick semi related question about lego pixel art. I just got into doing it and I noticed with some sprites like for example megamans idle pose in megaman 1 or link from zelda 1 attacking with his sword out some blocks can't connect side to side. Like links sword in zelda 1 has no overlapping pieces between the green cross guard and the brown of his blade. How would you go about connecting them? Only thing I've come up with is using the L shaped corner pieces and sliding it behind it but that makes the sprite slightly inaccurate on the backside. If you had any ideas I'm all ears I'm new to this.
