I may have missed this but is the air hammer and air chisel the same tool, just with different attachments? Do you have a recommendation for a compressor? Finally, would the third method work on domed rivets with no hole in the middle?

what is the NON air version for that third option? I want to use dewalt cordless tools only. what attachment do I need for that? I don't understand what attachment you are using.

There probably is a DeWalt cordless hammer chisel but it will likely cost significantly more than an air chisel and compressor and you won't have much need for it again.

@@MobileDwellings I have a deWalt DCD805 hammer drill. would that not work with just a chisel bit? I am actually trying to avoid EVER having or buying air tools. I hate them. P..S. thank you for your content and time.

@@jeffreycole2816 if you've got the drill than you tell me if it works! But the fastest way I've found is air hammer with a punch and a chisel. You don't have to do it the fastest way. Do it your way.

none of these options are actually easy. this is brain damage. there has to be a better way.

Yes removing rivets is hard. An air compressor and air chisel is the best way. It's only about $180 worth of tools and you can sell them when you're done with your build. Converting a bus is in fact brain damage so get warmed up with some rivet removal!
