I love the second one. I’d twist it- she was in love with the writer 100 years ago when she herself was quite young. When her partner died (fevor? Violence?) She had given/gotten a memory wipe because it was easier/cheaper than true ressurection- or maybe forbidden and thus an assassination? When she found the words in the book, something inside her recognized the writing- she doesn’t realize it yet, but if the party does ressurect the partner, the partner will gasp with joy etc etc. It will be a happy end to a romeo/juliet tale...

I might have, if making it as a prop, gone for pure white glitter and glue to mark the text, or to add arcane sigils and flourishes. Also, pretty sure those are drawer pulls... check the cabinetry section of your local hardware store, they might have something similar.

Fun idea for Pyriel, for a little twist to the story. The noble who dumped her seems like a genuinely nice man, quite reserved and quiet. If they actually care to get him to talk about what happened they'll find out that Pyriel had a very... Drow opinion toward men and he left her because she wasn't a healthy partner. Then he offers to pay them to get her to leave him alone. A different variation on the story playing into dnd lore, and it'll definitely surprise your players, nobody ever expects the woman to be the abuser.

I can see Pyriel's character as a back drop for an interesting story, going a very tragic rout if you really wanted to go the court intrigue rout of adventure. What if Pyriel's former lover Vendric the Earl was killed and swapped out by a gang of doppelgangers infiltrating the court for the BBEG... she hires the party to disgrace 'not kill' the Earl. Due to the tradgic nature of his death & his honor being so disputed by the public, at that sourced by his own lover not knowing the truth His spirit manifests as a Phantom or a Revenant. As a Revenant he goes full on path of Wrath after the Doppelgangers that killed him, the party who ruined his good name, and Pyriel for breaking his heart. Each time Slain coming back the next night to hunt them down one by one, even to the point where the doppelgangers pleading the party for help? Or as a Phantom he haunts Pyriels estate, the scene of his violent sudden and very untimely death, driving off her servants due to these hauntings. Night after night at witching hour recreating a ghostly play of his violent Murder by Doppelgangers who are wearing the faces of people the Players may actually trust, including Pyriel, this too would lead to the Servants thinking Pyriel has something to do with all this, they attempt to go into hiding out of fear. onlookers must make a save vs Wisdom/Charisma of be forced into a magically imposed grief, unable to do anything but feed the phantom there unfathomable tears of sadness. Vendrics fatal last moments are her face smiling down sadisticly as she plunges a distinct weapon into his chest then being dragged away by the conspirators. The thing that's going to throw the party? Vendric the Earl is still alive it would seem and he has been seen by his servants, and plotting revenge against the party for making a fool of him?

Idea about Nymwen! Ok so basically in the lore of Forgotten Realms, there are a limit to the number of elves' souls right? With the dream of the elves being memories from their time in Corellon's company or other past lives... So, when Nymwen tries to ressuscitate the poet, turns out the poet's one of her past lives and the reason she loves the poetry so much is because the poems were written to her soulmate or something like that. So if she goes on with the spells it can fail and/or go horribly wrong (Like, killing her on the spot, or raising a soulless version of the poet). And the player have to decide if they want to help her fix this horrible mistake, or just leave her at her tragedy.

One of Ginny's most underrated skills is make-up. These NPC vids do a great job of showing how skilled cosplayers can subtlety alter the apparent shape of cheekbones, jawlines, all sort of things. Really impressive stuff.

Oh, I love ALL of them!! It's nice for once to see an academically-inclined character who has a large focus on love, it's rare to see it but a treat when they show up!

Wow! I love them all! I may have to weave them into my homebrew when I get to run it.

The first one reminds me of a Buffy episode "bewitched bothered and bewildered" (a very Ginny Di title) ... Could be a good opportunity for us to give that plot a 2021 treatment with regards to consent and bodily autonomy!

Aye! I made it early and am absolutely delighted. Thank you Ginny! Morelia is definitely going to make an appearance in my campaign!!

Oh, I love this one. My understanding druid would surely want to help Nymwen out at first, but she prays the Raven Queen and would certainly not allow someone to cast such a spell that is an affront to the sanctity of death...

Ginny, all of them were good, but of the three i certainly like the Scholar the best. I could just see some real dark mojo coming down once she raises the Poet from the dead. I get the sense that she knows too much and understands too little. Beautiful idea for an NPC! :)
