Scooters, coffee, and street food! Watch to the end of this video to see all 3. #thailand #bangkok
Getting around in Thailand as an expat or a tourist can be tricky. Scooters are a bit dangerous, but convenient, fun, fast, and cheap.
I prefer electric scooters due to their performance, low cost of operation, and low noise levels. But they are only now starting to catch on here in Thailand. So good, FAST ones are hard to find.
In this video I investigate 2 new models, and one very popular model, to see which is the fastest scooter in Bangkok!

If the fast one is only rated to 80kph, and that's kind of ideal, it's going to struggle riding two up, going up a hill, to keep up with traffic. for reference, an old 125 I rented in taiwan had zero problems maintaining 110 on long backroad runs with my wife, me, and a loaded backpack.

Yes the options in Thailand are much worse than other countries when it comes to electrics

Nice to see a video on these. Did I miss some of the prices? Up hill, single and double would be nice to see.

Didn’t have time to update this video, but I would go for the strom gorilla, which is under 2000 USD.

Hey! Thanks for the neat content and your time. Which option did you finally buy and what experiences? I'm spending a few months in BKK and also wanna buy an electric motorcycle, although I am not that familiar with the not powerful ones like the ones you tried

I ended up with the Dako in the end, I’m really not happy with it. Always needs fixing, and range claims are nowhere near the world real world range. To do over, would probably do the Strom gorilla instead. But if you’re only staying a few months, I would just rent a normal motorbike, there are so many cheap rental places. Thanks for watching.!

@@on.theworld thanks. I was kinda expecting that answer. Thanks for your advice! It's a pity that I can't drive electric precisely in one of the cities that need it the most... Be safe.

I finally ended up ordering a Gorillav3 with the 3kW motor. It's the one they are using for Grab. I hope It doesn't give me many problems! They gonna ship it in around 1 month

Lolz fast scooter 80kmh is comical. You need at least 100-110 even on city streets.

@@gringolife9986 I live on Bangna-Trad, the speed limit there is 100km/h. Kinkaew road speed limit is 90, but most traffic travels between 110 and 120... Now tell me, after I rode here daily in the city and also out to some more remote areas pretty much daily since 2001 with a GSX-R750, and now a PCX scooter, who is likely to be wrong? Also tell me when you EVER saw a 120km/h speed limit 'enforced' rather than just 'take a picture and send them a fine in the post'. You're the joke here.
