Wow, that's amazing you have such success with those little colonies. I'm surprised you had any survive at all last winter.

Hey Darren I was surprised also. They were just really protected I guess a barn was shielding them and it had an overhang. But I still don't know how they survived really. Thank for stopping by

First!!!!! I have a nuc I made to save a queen that I keep in the house and put out on the porch on the nice days. Hope they last a couple more months. Thanks!

Hey Rodney that's a strategy I ve considered over wintering them inside a shed before and just leave a window open or something like that. As long as we stay in normal temps they do well. Good luck with yours it's always nice to have queens on hand early in the season. Hope winter is kind to all. Thanks for stopping by

Hello, where do you get 3 frame boxes?
@sweetstingers3 жыл бұрын
Hello I build most of my equipment. Some of my 3 frames came from a company named Poulis Apiary but I'm not sure if they are making them any more. I now started using just old 10 frame boxes and making 4 ways out of them. Then in fall removing 2 queens and over wintering them as a double side by side colony.
