i play on 40, 50, 60 the night cycles look pretty good like this. lighting feels more localized so landing zones end up looking more realistic

I actually find that lowering SDR Gamma by 10-15% and raising contrast and brightness gets rid of that hazy effect Star Citizen seems to have. Raising Gamma makes it much worse.

dude this is great. whenever i'm on microtech out in the woods or walking around orison in daylight there is this strange grainy shit over the screen like i'm playing starfield or something. the effect is most noticeable on microtech when ur in daylight by that dead relcaimer in ghost hollow and this helped me get rid of that shit. even during citizen con when they were walking through the swamp i saw this effect present and was annoyed by it

This is very subjective. I actually prefer a more washed out colour palette. My rule of thumb is contrast up and adjust accordingly. Thanks for the video citizen. o7

50/40/45 helps remove the white film over the game. But in reality, it starts from the monitor settings, then software calibration settings, then game settings. Because what you view from your own monitor is not the same for those viewing it. They could have HDR screens, which makes videos like these look cartoonish in nature. Because they are not HDR. with HDR off the game and videos looks way too cartoony and colorful as is. Anyway, the key point here is to always keep the bottom one 4 to 5 over the middle one no matter where it's set. But base it off your own viewpoint, being the monitors. because not everyone has the same viewport as you do. In order to fix their screens, you would have to view them from their monitor.

the contrast and gamama need to be raised the brightness lowered compensate with gama. but when you use HDR it's impossblew to do in game you have to set your vibrance and brightness in Control pannel.

I've always been a fan of high contrast. I don't know why, but even in my photography that is the style I go for. Most games don't even give you these options, usually just Gamma at the most. I never even thought to use these to tweak my look in Star Citizen but I'm definitely going to know. Not sure why I didn't think of it before :D
