Hey Mac, that's a really nice Wilson Combat BCM grip you have there! I bought the same exact one for my rifle I just got done building, which I ordered from Strong-Side Tactical before I knew about your videos here on KZbin. Great videos, keep them coming. :-)

Will that scope work for a 1000 yard competition? I’m looking for a scope that I can use for 3 gun and 1000 yard competitions. I have a Tikka T3X TAC A1 6.5 Creedmoor bolt action.

i was running my BCM RECCE 14 KMR for about a year with an Eotech XPS2. We only shoot out to 200 yards so 14.5" barrel works just fine. i know switched to the FN15 TACTICAL CARBINE with a 14.5" CHF MATCH barrel. I also run a G17 G4 and a Versamax Tactical. And i still use a red dot i just switched to the ROMEO 4c. MY 3 Gun setup is what i would use for HD as well. I do not beleive u need to have an 18" setup to be good at 3 gun. I have seen my 14.5 run with a 18" out to 400 yards and less than a 1 inch difference on the target. I also use a BCM COMP MOD 1

Sounds like a good setup

only parts you missed were the upper and lower, or do those make almost no difference?
@bullittmcqueen8 жыл бұрын
+chris m They don't make much of a difference overall in the rifle. But since you asked if you want a bit more detail about the lower and upper on my rifle check out these videos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKitqIWml7p2aLs

Great vid man. What made you decide to take your SLR rifleworks rail off and put the ALG rail on your Vltor rifle?
@bullittmcqueen8 жыл бұрын
+Tim Gawenda SLR rail was too small inside diameter for the gas block. The gas block was hitting. The ALG had more room inside

Which Wilson Combat rifle is that exactly? I just ordered a Wilson Combat .223 wylde SS and this is one of very few posts I've been able to find with a similar rifle!! Very nice spec. is there any particular competition that would suit the 223 wylde with a 20 inch barrel any better than 3 gun?? its going to be my first and only gun for a while and even though I have a lot of practice ahead i know i'm eventually going to find my way into local competition. do we have any marksman style events here in Florida or something that would only require a rifle such as mine? Awesome job on your videos hope to see new content in the future!
@bullittmcqueen8 жыл бұрын
Not a complete Wilson Combat rifle, only the billet upper and lower matched set. As far as rifle matches, I just moved here so still learning about whats available. What part of the state are you in?
@V2win10008 жыл бұрын
BullittMcQueen I'm out of east Orlando. I'm new to FL also and from what I hear it's difficult to find spots to practice long range.
@bullittmcqueen8 жыл бұрын
You need to shoot at Universal Shooting Academy in Frostproof. Best range in FLA
@V2win10008 жыл бұрын
man that place looks awesome! just under a few hours out, so i'll be headed that way as soon as my rifle arrives. I haven't even chosen an optic aside from the factory flip sights, and with all these 3 gun videos i'm already having a look at pistols and shotguns lol.

How you liking the tac con buffer?
@bullittmcqueen8 жыл бұрын
+M0M0 I like it a lot. 100% reliable
@MrRhsmike1898 жыл бұрын
Awesome, which do you think you prefer the jp scs or the tac con? Also is that why you went for the heavier buffer tube to add some weight because of how light the tac con is. That's part of the reason I like my jp casue it adds 7 ounces to the rear.
@bullittmcqueen8 жыл бұрын
+M0M0 Exactly. If you want the weight to balance the rear, the the SCS is probably best. If you want function and very affordable, then go with the TAC COM

Do you have a parts list for your 3-gun AR?

@kulot1n107 жыл бұрын
how much did your beautiful setup cost you? i hope thats not rude to ask?
@bullittmcqueen7 жыл бұрын
Not sure but a good 3-gun setup will range from $2500 for the most economical to between 5-10k for high tier equipment
@kulot1n107 жыл бұрын
2500 would be my budget with an awesome optic. Would you recommend a full build? Pretty much I'm asking for you to build me a 3gun ar for 2500. I also live in California. I just want something I can compete with but it's also a battle rifle.

Why not piston driven?
@bullittmcqueen8 жыл бұрын
Harsher recoil, heavier gun,and parts not as interchangeable. Usually a piston-driven system will have a few parts that are proprietary to that manufacturer. DI guns have been the standard for many years and parts are pretty much plug and play.
