Probably a cam phaser only happens on a cold start up. Depending on the customer that’s 1.5-3 hrs billed for diagnostics. Bills gotta get paid. What would you have made not going on the test drive

I had one like that and I'm like nothing sorry. she freaks out and is getting mad at me cause she chose to drive 30min to the interstate and 30min back plus 20 on the interstate cause she insisted on looping around cause it didn't happen lol. then started yelling at me about traffic haha I was like never again you guys up front do this shit and let me know what u hear.

Yea. So she brought you to her house to diagnose a car noise? You were gone for 3 hours? Now no more customer test drives? Im sorry but your story does not hold water. Sounds to me like you omitted the part where you went inside and nailed her half to death then took a shower and a nap. As for the noise its most likely the skid plate on the muffler. Even with some brand new cars it happens. It will rattle like a bastard when it's cold. Once it gets warmed up it stops.
