For a few years, the Vikings and native tribes interacted in Vinland(what is most likely modern day Newfoundland Canada) One thing people learned is their cultures were surprisingly similar, especially for two groups of people thousands of miles apart, and who hadn't interacted with each other in over a thousand years.
