One of those paradoxes here is that i usually put this kind of videos to sleep, and ads are played every 3 minutes so it doesn't let me sleep until i turn off the video... and here not a single ad, and i actually got interested in all of those paradoxes so i didn't fall asleep even after 2 hours in because of it 😅

"I never realized how many paradoxes have real-world implications, from science to philosophy. The discussion on Russell’s Paradox and the foundations of mathematics was particularly eye-opening!

How you resolve the liar’s paradox depends on whether or not you accept the law of excluded middle. If you accept said principle, “this statement is false” is, by definition, not a statement and not expected to have a truth value. If you deny the law of excluded middle there is no contradiction; the statement is simply not true or false.

That’s what I was thinking it just seems like you’re being too “technical” with the sentence and trying to force it to be a paradox

One cannot fall into a logic paradox if one doesnt fall.

The apparent contradiction of Russel’s paradox comes from not understanding set selectors. “The set of all sets that don’t contain themself” is a null selector, meaning it references the null set. “The null set” is to set theory what “nothing” is to ontology. Essentially, “the set of all sets that don’t contain themselves” is not a meaningful phrase in the context of set theory.

I have a solution to the liars paradox. IMHO the mistake is using math, i.e. logic, on language. Math is for numbers (mostly) and logic is used to define or design systems where the logic is custom to the parts of the system or parts of the system are built to work with logic. Example: if the key is turned then the car starts. You could dedign a car that starts sometimes when the key is turned. It could work. Now it needs the logic but that can only be done if the circumstances that decide if the car starts is known which is not always the case.

The paradox paradox, you can make an interesting video about paradoxs and plenty of people will watch but the longer you talk about paradoxs the less people will comment about said paradoxs in your video on paradoxs

"This statement is false" doesn't seem like a paradox to me because it is telling the truth that it is a lie

The liar paradox: if Pinocchio says "my nose will now grow", what will happen?
@BlueEyesDY
@BlueEyesDY 11 күн бұрын
Pinocchio’s nose grows when he lies, not when he makes a false statement. To lie is to communicate what one believes to be a falsehood with the intent to deceive. Whether the statement is actually true or false is irrelevant. So if he is lying his nose will grow, otherwise it won’t. The statement being true doesn’t make it any less of a lie.

Russels patadox exists solely on the definition of set theory. Humans came up with set theory and russels paradox exposes the flaw. Fix the theory and no paradox.
