I worked on Creature from the Krusty Krab for DS. The development of that game was a disaster, which unfortunately shows in the finished product. There was a lot of turmoil at Wayforward during that development, not the least of which is the design completely changing halfway through, causing a lot of work to be thrown out completely. I'm a coder, but by the end of development, I was helping out with level design. It was chaotic. I did get to code characters being squished by heavy objects and giant Plankton getting shot at, so there's that.

@logannewman6166 The original design still used a touchscreen gesture gimmick (I should know, as I wrote that code) but your control over the characters was more direct. So, it was more like a traditional platformer, only using touchscreen gestures instead of the D-pad. You used more complex gestures to do special moves. I wrote a boss fight for Patrick's dream that had a helicopter hovering over a building, with endless criminals popping out. Patrick would have to fight them off and while also attacking the helicopter. It would eventually fall out of the sky after taking enough damage. I think the non-platforming sections were largely the same, but I had very little to do with those.

don’t think i saw a comment regarding this easter egg in the original upload, but the strange fish you meet here 48:28 is actually the mascot of the development team that did the game’s graphics, Team RocFish! This cool guy also makes an appearance in the other game that RocFish did, the console port of Atlantis Squarepantis (if you have a sharp eye you can find RocFish in the photography minigame)
