My boyfriend and I got lost in a national park last year. His family has a cabin on the land and we went for a hike. He's been there his whole life and i've been there quite a bit. We were going in circles, nobody could hear us, he shot off his gun and nobody could hear. It was really frightening especially an hour in... it was starting to get dark and we were yelling before we heard a man not 10 feet away say something, I also heard some chains (It reminded me of a dog collar and leash). We looked around and there was no one there. We were so confused. There couldn't be a person there. Even though this is a national forest, this part wasnt accessible to the public. how could someone be in the middle of the forest on private property full of dead trees be around without us noticing? There was literally no one there. It was really scary. We heard lots of weird noises we didn't quite process while we were struggling to find our way back. We followed a creek for hours until we reached a highway eventually. When we got back, we were talking about all the weird stuff that was happening while we were trying to escape the forest. I don't know what it was but it felt like the forest wanted to keep us there. We would hear people and run one way before hearing something else and being completely turned around. We are mountain kids, always have been and we were just completely empty headed of everything we knew in there. We joke that it was some portal or something just because of how off and weird life felt in there. Lol I'm not crazy, none of that was a hallucination even though it sounds nuts! 😁 his family thought we were crazy except his grandpa who has spent many times in the woods himself. You could see in his face, he had an idea what we had felt like and gone through.

wow.. glad you made it out but it doesnt sound crazy to me at all. if you follow the subject of disappearing hikers closely, the few stories that come out from people who survived and have some semblance of memory about it - are replete with weirdness like you describe stuff like coming under a veil of confusion, seeing people looking for them but who couldnt see or hear them and having seemingly invisible 'barriers' preventing them from moving where they want. very strange stuff

@@jackssmirkingrevenge9365 Thanks so much, we are glad too. It was exactly like that. A veil is the best way to describe it. It's scary to think we could have disappeared just like the people in these stories.

Nelly Nay You say you heard people talking ,but no one to be seen...sounds like ghosts of people that have died from years ago, many died in the American wars, and native Americans having been slaughtered. When your scared that’s when you attract them. Glad you got out of there ok.

Another thing that freaks me out about many of these stories is that I've camped alone in several of them years before ever hearing about any of these cases. Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde, Trinity Wilderness, Humboldt County Redwoods, Arches, Canyonlands, Los Padres / Big Sur, Badlands, Palisades, Estes, Green Mountains in Vt., and many others. Every one of them, except for the Green Mts, I did completely alone. Never knowing there were any of these types of cases that involve recurring patterns.

I didn't realize how much I preferred longer posts until we were gifted with length on par with certain Documentaries, while still retaining pertinence and focus with the material of each individually summarized case. As opposed to perhaps, going off on tangents in relation to theories and speculations that, while sometimes interesting or insightful, ultimately drift attention away from the facts and information that has a better chance of potentially bringing us all closer to understanding these disappearances. This process of analyzing and distributing all known logical insight with these cases and relaying it out to all of us...which then trickle along all who share and continue passing along these stories that give the ability for all supporting parties within this extended community to grow Endlessly. At least for me, that is what I have found to be the most stimulating and heartfelt motivational perseverance that endures when watching, despite time aging many of the cases into the potential of becoming forgotten. Thanks to all who've researched and continue to keep the fire burning for the people closest with those still missing. I can now start this week off with a good nutritional batch of Rusty.

"Nutritional batch of..."! haha That's great - I like that. I never thought much about longer, well-narrated posts as opposed to shorter posts, which are usually accompanied by eye-catching graphics, but don't go past the surface; the basic premise of the story. There was a time when I would, naturally, skip a KZbin video, once I realized it was a post, such as this - with a long narrative and no 'eye candy'! haha I guess, unconsciously, I began to feel the way you describe, here, once I started to give longer posts a chance. This style of story-telling or story-relaying, does go deeper into detail and they do tend to adhere more to fact than, as you say, speculation or theory, which, no matter how insightful or entertaining, is an altogether different experience than this; you are able to glean real and detailed information from these posts.

In 2009....i was sitting at the end of my bed with my yorkie. We were watching t.v. All of a sudden a ghost of a middle aged man...with black hair, jeans, white t.shirt.....walked past us. I was sort of frozen...wondering what this was....when he faded into the corner of the room. My dog jumped off the bed and attacked the spot...pawing and barking. I saw a ghost....it was real..and it has changed my view of this world. It's the truth....i swear to you.

i believe you. like you say, it changes your view of the world and what we're told is 'real' and the apparent limits of science and 'scientism'. once you see one ostensibly impossible phenomenon like ghosts (whatever they happen to actually be) then other things like seeing ufo's or sasquatch dont seem to be as crazy as they once perhaps were

I had a similar experience. Some years ago,I lay in bed the dog by my side when a square black shape came at me through the wall..the dog saw it also. The dog went to go for it,but l called him away...that was some entity, strangely I didn’t feel scared though. This is not my only encounter with ghosts..I know people that have not seen them,it’s harder to convince them..but don’t make it my mission in life to persuade anyone to believe me..I know what I saw. There are odd circumstances in this world, much we don’t know about ..but their out there ,trust.

People shouldn’t go alone out in the wilderness..or camp out at night. The parks are so vast, there lots of dangers, some that are obvious and some we have no idea about , some unexplained thing picking off people. We have another phenomena in the uk,young men being pushed into canal net work, and drowning. Some 60 bodies pulled out in last decade or more.

I have read a few comments from some of you saying that Rusty is stealing David Paulides research on missing people in national and state parks to use in his youtube channel. But let me say this; of all the alternative videos, podcasts, uploads, etc., the national park story's the most credible and believable of any of them. Forget what's happening to these people after they vanish, or why. The most important message here is that we want this to get out to as many people as possible. Besides Rusty many more are starting to pop up reporting on this subject as well. PEOPLE WAKE UP, DON'T LET THESE MISSING CHILDREN, PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS, ETC. DIE IN VAIN, WE MUST GET THE WORD IT WILL SAVE PEOPLES LIVES!!!!

My hubby and I are stewards to an area ruined by the steele mills. It is also a place where the Native Americans were abused. Twice this year during broad daylight, at two different parks we were creeped out...for the first time ever, we felt like we were being watched. The first incident, we heard something approaching us about 100 yards out, we caught a glimpse of something human sized hairy arm. The second time I took one of our dogs. We had that feeling, but couldn't see exactly what was there, but it stalked us as we made our way out. My badassed pity was scared shitless and couldn't get to the car fast enough. Occasionally we still feel something out there. These parks are located in a major city. I now welcome that feeling, because I think whatever is out there, is happy with how my hubby and I are helping Mother Nature come back to life.

when there are thousands or millions of people sharing a reality, that reality is reinforced by every viewer or participant. A reality that is not shared by many is held together loosely. In other words, a less viewed reality is not as real as one that is viewed regularly by many. The walls separating realities not viewed are very thin where as the walls separating well viewed realties are thick and strong. Wilderness areas are not viewed by many and the vails separating realities are thin, people venturing out into these areas can literally walk into alternate realities and out of our reality for extended period of time or forever.

Thank you for doing this, I like hearing longer missing people’s stories. I think these people are being taken by an alien species, there are a few species that could be doing this. I know people will say I’m nuts but it’s the only answer that fits together. There are aliens that take people for their body parts, organs. The authorities know exactly what is happening so people need to come together and force your authorities to start fighting back and giving families closer. I am so sorry to all the families and friends that have lost love ones.

They also believe in the aswang,,half a body witch that flys and takes children..and to prevent that they pour salt around the windows n doors ,,believing that will hurt the witches half body wounds...maybe myths i dont know but interesting to see how these stories and the beliefs that american indians also tell stories of how in thier beliefs and tales about the forests and land almost match,,i just wonder how all these world myths from diffrent cultures coincide together,,wonder if theres truth to it all,,,kindve off subject from your story but again can they all be connected somehow? insane,,,, its pretty easy to imagine some wild technology is needed to make these people vanish and then quickly move them in ways hound dogs can not follow a trail. . The storms that pop up to hamper a search may be a clue to part of the technology at play. (something needed if tracks are left behind??) Why these people vanish imply a sexual or satanic hand at work... but in most cases no hint of foul play surfaces, in other cases bodies are pulverized??? The missing boots thing is just dammed odd. The oddities are most easy to see in David Paulides's "a sobering coincidence" book that deals with these same type of missing people in urban settings.

I wouldn't hike the Appalachian or the P.C.T. without being armed! a firearm doesn't guarantee safety against wildlife but it definitely can make a difference against human abduction. just make sure it's loaded and easy to get to. not wrapped up and hid at the bottom of your pack. when I was younger I met some weird characters on the Appalachian trail. it was unsettling enough to cut the trip short. I wasn't about to fall into a deep sleep after a long day of walking knowing that would be the most vulnerable time for me. most people you would meet hiking are considerate and helpful but there are exceptions unfortunately. something is odd about some of the disappearances though...I'm more and more convinced not all are weather, accident, or human related. sad for the family and friends of the dead or missing.

eme nem one thing david paluides suggests is a personal locator device. Still stay armed but stack the deck more in your favor with a locator, appearently people with those dont `vanish' as much.

al dooze I've seen videos of people setting those off and then nobody ever shows up for months. I mean it may very well be people just putting out troll videos being dick heads but then again I personally am not super comfortable with putting very much faith in any government entity to keep me safe... You know I really small part of me wants to experience what some of these people experience just so I know what's really going on... I don't believe in the Paranormal at all like not even a little bit but I'm happy to admit that there's some incredibly weird s*** going on with these cases and I want some damn answers lol

Might Be a Rapist i agree totallt with not counting ongovernment to be there when it counts. I also admit i too am curious what they went through out there. Ive always said one of my preferred method of of going is just..vanishing out in the woods. Nobody's sure if im gone or not. I know thats selfish but its my death and if you cannot be selfish then ,then when can you lol?

A huge part of me is trying to rationalize all of this stuff but if u look into the dave paulides cases there are way too many things that dont make sense and it honestly bothers me necaise i dont believe in virtually anything other than what would be percieved as "normal" or "real".. im agnostic, i dont believe in ghosts or sasquatch i do believe aliens exist though because well..i mran come on now the universe is flippin huge we cant be the only life. However i dont think they've been here. Either tht or they have and were like "damn bro, these guys are fucked" and never came back

When someone is pulled or hit really hard the shoes come off I wonder if they are sucked up into the air so fast that their shoes fall off I wouldn't think these people would just take their shoes off for the fun of it, living in the upper peninsula of Michigan we have lots of strange things goin on in our woods, specifically the pictured rocks Area where we ourselves experienced weird weather phenomena. One time hiking there, me my husband 3 kids and friend Steve had to run and I mean run because of a swarm of biting flies, EA horse flies by the hundreds attacked us, I can say we would of left anything we dropped. We were not turning back. Steve dropped his diabetic kit with insulin and when he realized this, he wouldn't even gi back to get it!! The day was beautiful and the weather was supposed to be good, 7 miles in the weather got nuts a storm came in from the north off lake superior, the weird thing was when the storm almost hit everything went calm, no wind no sound no birds,no running water nothing. It was like we stepped into a bubble never experienced sound just goin away, freaked us out bad, my husband was like we need to leave now I could even see that he didn't even know what was goin on we all experienced this it's hard to explain but when the sound came back that when the files came out of nowhere swarming us, i suppose that this could cause anyone to just run off causing them to get lost,we ran the last 2 miles on the trail, just stating a fact that caused us to have to leave the area fast and immediately. I suppose other things like this could happen causing someone to just up and leave, leaving things behind, not saying it explains all cases but maby sum of them, stay safe everyone!!!!

Someone might already have brought attention to this but... Why are so many of these avid hikers found dead missing their shoes?? So wierd. As an outdoorsman you would know not to take them off or leave them behind. Makes me wonder if the search parties ever find the shoes. This might come across as total tinfoil mumbojumbo but my mind keeps jumping to thinking that a lot of these victims were abducted by aliens.

I heard many of his interviews and there are cases where the missing are not wearing their clothes or shoes and the clothes and shoes are found neatly folded and next to the body. There are also cases involving both bodies that were clothed and unclothed and only one of the shoes were found.

I visited Zion National Park years ago. While it is unbelievably beautiful country.....I got the sense it was also dangerous. Very dangerous. Also went on a days pack trip up into the Escalante Mountains. It was rugged and exceptional. But again it had a twinge of danger. I believe anything could be possible. Abduction by sasquatch or even aliens seems plausible - to many people have seen to much. The Park Service and Dept of the Interior know much more then they are revealing. They can’t risk a billion dollar income - missing visitors are mere collateral damage. It just drives home that you are very alone.

Sorry to sound stupid, but I'm new to these Missing persons videos read by you (although I am very familiar with the David Paulides videos). When you state that they are "volume 2-15", what is that taken from? Are you talking about the cases from his books? (I really wish someone would discuss them, as I'm am the UK, and cannot afford the Missing 411 books, even from the CanAmMissing site). Thanks. PS. I haven't yet been able to listen to this video, as I've only just come across it.

Clearly, IMHO, different things are happening to different people in these cases so there is a multi-faceted situation happening in these parks. Obviously, some of the people are being abducted and literally torn to pieces and eaten by some predator (Nephilim/Dogman/Sasquatch/Goatman/Thunderbird) who have a "cloaking" ability like in the movie Predator. And from what I'm observing through these accounts is that the "cloaking" ability somehow translates onto the victim when this thing grabs them, which explains why they suddenly vanish in a group of people. The others are being taken to either an underground tunnel area, a UFO or other dimesional area and "probed" or whatever the hell these demonic freaks do to people. Why they let some of them go by placing them several miles away in weird, nearly impossible to get to spots, I have no clue but it almost seems like some kind of taunt and it also tells me that all of these people are not being used for "food" but for some type of experiment. Probably some type of hybridization program where they are removing dna, etc to be used in their demonic creatures that then feed off of the rest of us. Perhaps the ones that live have some kind of "sleeper" placed in their minds like MK Ultra subjects and Manchurian candidates that cause them to go "postal" later in life. Whatever is happeing, I promise you, Uncle Scam, (in certain levels) knows all about it. Uncle Scam does not love you, America.

Reese Daniel The problem is the people not neccesarilly its goverment. People in general Do Not want to hear about this kind of thing, its too scary. People in general will ignore it becuase they cant seem to find out a reasonable explination for this type of thing. It would cause a panic if they started reporting that an alternate or alien life force is snatching people. I just started watching these videos and I find this stuff very frightening to the point where I wont watch more then a few minutes at a time. 🙄

Nice work Rusty. Any thoughts on the people disappearing from cities? I've noticed a lot of them happening in an around my hometown. Many of them seem like the ones from the parks. If you're interested, I'd like to see you cover some of these cases. Tom Hecht in Milwaukee rings a bell... other cases in Madison and more cities in Wisconsin? Proximity to water is common in these cases... We have a lot of rivers and inland lakes here, and of course the largest body of freshwater in the world...Lake Michigan
