I've seen so many people say that the cop was power tripping and too aggressive with her. No, he was pissed because I guarantee he has seen firsthand what can happen to an infant that gets left alone. He was right to give her the lecture, and even more right to arrest her.

Not so sure about the first one - leaving the child safe, asleep, locked in room whilst going downstairs and to the shop to get food for 29 minutes, not ideal but not that different from child asleep upstairs and eating downstairs or in your garden. She seems to be trying to do her best. She is probably doing more for the child than its father is.

I agree for me it wasn't that bad of a crime to leave her child alone sleeping in the hotel room but there is some reasons why it was bad but overall it wasn't that much of crime

Right! Can someone leave their child asleep in their room and walk down the street to check the mail then? Can parents go outside to cut the grass or clean the garage? No indication of abuse or drug use by the adult. Mom just needed to eat something, shes working and doing the best she can, and there’s no one to help her.

I actually felt bad for a few of the arrestees. Like the lady on vacation who lost her contact, couldn’t find her son, and was arrested for a DUI. She blew a .096 when the limit is .08. She was lucid and cooperative, even thankful for the officers. After she got arrested became emotional but never tried to fight the officers,she just cried and eventually said a few curse words. Resulting in charges of disorderly and resisting arrest, but nothing having to do with the DUI or intoxication she was arrested for. She had a few drinks on vacation but had complete control of herself. An endless number of parents would be in jail if that’s how police enforce policy
