I know I'm bored when I'm watching videos at 1 a.m. on how to heat up tortillas.....Also this is no disrespect to the video, you gave me some good info that I will use for my next taco night. :)

Don’t heat them directly on your stovetop unless you want a sticky mess.

i used the oil method. but i do it a little different. i just take some store bought tortillas (we have a tortillaria by us too. either works) get a basting brush like you'd use for brushing on BBQ sauce and pour avocado oil into a small bowl and brush all the tortillas with the oil. i use avocado oil because its neutral in flavor (wont change the flavor profile of what your cooking) and has the highest smoke point of all the cooking oil and fry them until it bubbles then turn it and do the same. and wrap them in a towel inside a cast iron dutch over or a tortilla pot so they will stay soft or become soft if you cooked too long. to reheat them, wrap them in a wet paper towel and put in a ziplock and dont seal it and microwave for a minute. And bam! They're back to life for leftovers!! simple stuff

plancha egh thats what we call the iron thing that we use on our clothes im filipino a former spanish colony

Both are called plancha in Spanish. The flatiron for clothes and the skillet (we also call it sartén). Even the hair straightener is called plancha.

Do not do this. If you do, your tortillas will stick to the frying pan. Don't use any water. Just lightly spray your pan with cooking oil.
@carmeloshin4 жыл бұрын
It works if you use a well seasoned cast iron skillet. This method is also preferable for those who'd like to avoid using oil
@alanmorris76694 жыл бұрын

@Romy---4 жыл бұрын
It's not even necessary to add anything. The tortillas are already cooked, you're just warming them up. They won't stick if you follow the steps shown here.
@alanmorris76694 жыл бұрын
@@Romy--- Even though the tortillas are precooked, the heat will cause them to release moisture. The moisture will cause them to stick to your pan. Lightly spray your pan with cooking oil.
